Caught in the Mirror

Our visit to my in-law's place on Monday included a box of ice cream which we bought from the grocery shop on the way. Since the old man wasn't home, we parked by the roadside to enjoy the ice cream before it melted. I was thinking about a small pint but the Farmboy suggested getting a bigger one so we did.

Ice cream is one of those treats that we enjoy when we go out. It was just past 3 in the afternoon and it wasn't that hot and there were lots of pine trees around. 750ml should be good for 4 people or more but believe it or not, we consumed more than half of it, lol! I love the cashews and chocolate chips in this particular flavor.

The husband left for Mr. B afterward so I stayed in the car with the little guy who fell asleep at some point while I was taking some photographs.

Anyhow, here's to share some of the reflection shots taken at that time. The area was declared as a watershed so no one is allowed to cut any of them without approval from the government agency - the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

It's always nice to spend time along the road because we can hear a variety of sounds - the rustling of the tree branches when it's breezy, the chirping of birds, and even the barking of dogs from the distance.

As usual, I couldn't help but capture lots of the reflected natural images on the rearview mirror.

My little pup woke up after a while so we took a wee adventure in Papa's garden, where we took photos of some of his plants which I already shared a few days ago.

And here are the last three photographs captured just before we drove away from the place. The trees and the cloudy sky were reflected on the car's windows.

This is of course my participation in the Reflection Hunters Edition 159, a fun initiative by Olgavita. Do check it out and join us if you haven't already done so.

Meanwhile, it's a cool Wednesday up here. The sun showed up briefly in the morning and then the clouds took over the sky most of the day. We have been hoping that it will rain for the second time around this month but it looks like the weather is still deciding whether to keep it dry or to bring in some rain already.😅

Reminded me of what an aunt mentioned some days ago, that she heard the news on the radio saying the rain might come late this year so the government is preparing to do some cloud seeding. So yes, we are looking forward to some raindrops soon.

Hope everything is going well for you, wherever side of the planet you are right now.😉
