Gryllus assimilis is a well-known insect. It is less common around us, but it is seen more in autumn. At this time, in the evening, these insects start singing their own tune from under the ground. They start making sounds for a long time. Their sound is a bit annoying. However, they maintain a good balance in the soil. They nest underground in various places including bushes. Their body is a little thick but their eyes are very small. They cannot fly, they jump.
