I have been a fan of Drew McIntyre for a long time, just like many others, I have been following his WWE contract rumors.
Of late, it has been stated that there is the possibility of him exiting from the organization. It’s a little bit disheartening to think about because McIntyre’s presence in WWE has played an important part in my life particularly during these trying moments we are going through.
To me, Drew McIntyre is not any other wrestler. Instead, he is an individual who has put in a lot of effort to be where he currently is.
Earlier this month, when he won the World Heavyweight Championship title that was when I thought it would keep him there at WWE forever. Nevertheless, it appears like it may not be so.
I once watched a video where Ryback gave out his opinion on McIntyres contract situation and this really got me thinking.
According to Ryback, before signing another contract with WWE, Mcintyre might want something more from them. And you know what? He’s right.
Throughout the pandemic, McIntyre has been a loyal supporter of WWE and he’s performed pretty well.
He’s put RAW on his back, won the WWE Championship twice and all this without fans’ cheers present in the arena. That is quite something if you ask me.
However, now that his contract is up for renewal, I can’t help but wonder what might come next for Drew McIntyre? Recently he has been engaged in some interesting storylines such as his feud against CM Punk and a recent match with Damian Priest. But does it mean he will still be a part of WWE?
Furthermore, Ryback made an observation about Mcintyre’s social media strategies which may suggest that he had other choices like AEW.
This got me thinking even more. Maybe Mcintyre wants to take on new challenges or maybe look out for another opportunity to prove himself to the world.
This is what some people say? Therefore, if he went on to resign from WWE altogether, I wouldn’t blame him. He has really achieved a lot for the company and if they think he doesn’t deserve it then maybe he should look elsewhere.
I will be sad of course if he leaves. But at the same time I can’t help but feel excited about what might be next for him. This is because McIntyre has got such an amazing wrestling ability that calls for being located where his talents are highly valued.
Then how do I feel about Drew McIntyre possibly leaving WWE?
Well, as much as he’s one of my favorites, I hope he stays with the company, though if he does choose to depart I will back up my favorite wrestler all through. He has given a lot to WWE and now it’s high time they gave something in return.
At the end of it all, my only wish is for Drew McIntyre to be happy whether that means staying in WWE or somewhere else.
Thus, whatever choice he makes; I’ll always be there cheering him on irrespective of anything else.
