Playing with scarcity

Today, I was working on the benefits our service will provide to craft breweries, bars, and stores related to other promotional services for their brands. Our service will offer them a way to generate "collectible" industry NFTs representing their brands and beers so they can distribute NFTs to their consumers as a collectible and, later on, offer promotions to those holding their brand NFTs.

The first thing that comes to their mind is creating an NFT of their logo and beer varieties, but we also offer them NFTs for special events such as their bar anniversary or any special event they may have. That is where scarcity may join as a variable.

You can issue an infinite quantity of NFTs for your brand and keep giving them away. Those users holding them become sort of your first-level "special" consumers as a loyalty program, it gives your clients a certain level of "distinction" among those who do not have the NFT, but nothing too special. But when you have a special event in the bar you will not distribute that special edition NFT after the event, so the NFT becomes a limited edition with a much smaller distribution, making their holders feel way more "special", making a natural selection for those who are regular clients to your bar. Later on, you can define which promotions need which NFTs to participate, showing your audience how you offer better benefits to those holding this special event issues NFTs.

If the project starts growing, we plan to introduce a marketplace, and this limited edition NFTs which you will not be able to get unless you purchase in the open market, will have a higher price.

On top of the promotions from the establishments, we plan to introduce our collection of NFTs. The first one will be the basic GifmeBeer membership card, which will be airdropped to those who stop by our booth at the Barcelona Beer Festival in a few weeks and claim their NFT there. After the event, we plan on having a raffle between those who hold the special Festival event card.

It will be interesting to see how a real-life action linked to an NFT engages the audience and how the promotion a few days later makes the community react. Experimenting with real and online/crypto options is what excites me more. We will see how it goes. More in the coming weeks.
