A Day at the Beach, With the Ocean Breeze

Hello, it's me, @lorene08. Today's post will be one of the best memories I had during 2024. After our Moving Up Ceremony, my friends and I thought it would be best to hold a simple beach gathering since we all survived junior high school and thought we deserved it after a pretty tough school year.

There were eleven of us, plus my other best friend, but three of our friends couldn't join because they were busy, and their parents wouldn't let them.

I still remember how loud we were while walking. We were laughing, joking around, and talking about random things. We hadn't even reached the beach yet, but we were already chatting so much that it took us almost 30 minutes to arrive. We also brought a lot of things with us. Others brought snacks, cooking tools, a Bluetooth speaker, and a volleyball. When we reached the beach, we took a moment to appreciate the view. Then we set up our things and started cooking lunch.

Some of my friends were cooking while others were singing (because I brought a Bluetooth speaker with a mic, HAHAHAHA) and also joking around. The most iconic moment was when we brought canned goods but forgot to bring the can opener so we had to use a spoon instead (which got bent😭😭). Upon eating, we chatted around for a little while, but before we knew it, we were swimming around in the sea while the others played volleyball, it was super hot since it was already summer in our place at that time. We also had a mini photoshoot (shoutout to my supportive bffs).

We headed back home to my house because we had planned on doing friendship bracelets at around 2 pm. This is so funny, though, it was hot already by that time, and we had just walked the entire way up to the main road(my friends are still complaining to me about it, HAHAHA). No vehicles or tricycles were heading to the beach since the road was still not fixed yet (🥲). Along the main highway, we stopped and took the tricycle so that we didn't have a hard time handling the heat any longer, and also because we all got drained from all the fun and energy we had at the beach.

Once we got to our house, we rested for a while. My friends also had some random conversations with my grandmother (they're that close, mehehehe), asking about how their lives have been lately and some other stuff. Then, we started to make our bracelets. I didn't know making bracelets could be so stressful because the beads were so cute, they kept falling from my hand every time I tried to put them on the string (I don't know what it's called🥲). Then, since it was already 3 pm, my friends decided to go home.

And that's how I spent my AFTER Moving Up Ceremony with my circle of friends. It was indeed a memorable day for me. So, let me drop another quote before I end my blog for today: "There's no small or big happiness. It's just happiness when you feel happy."
    — Vernon from Seventeen. Happiness isn’t measured by how big or small the moment is, but by how it makes you feel. In my circle of friends, every moment of joy, whether simple or grand, is equally meaningful.
