Humans; The past and now.

When bad things happen to us, we always find someone to blame deep down. How we lived, the memories we've gathered and all the things we've faced and most especially the next move to make which has been caused by how we've lived life. Doing that makes things less hectic for us, but most of the time, that sense of denial makes us blind to the real deal.

After a walk yesterday, I got tasty. I wasn't in a place where I could get something because where I walked to was far from the bustling and hustling of humans. I always enjoy taking that sort of long walk to clear my head. I knew I had to walk faster to get water to drink. It was my first time getting that tasty while out.

The moment I hit the busy road, I met a woman who sells sachet water and went for it. Mind you, I have two bags of that same sachet water at home, and seeing the ridiculous amount the woman sold, one sachet made me gasp. I bought the water at an unreasonable price.

The thing is that if she sells two or three for that same price, she'll still get a huge gain from it. In my head, as I slowed down, walking back home, I calculated how much she could possibly get from just selling at the price she was selling, and I couldn't believe it. What she'll end up getting for selling one bag of sachet water would be enough to buy 3 bags of the same sachet water.

Letting out a deep chuckle, I shook my head at the hypocrite look of things. This same woman would possibly complain about the government making things hard for the citizens, whereas she's adding more fuel to the already burning fire.

There are many traders like this who charge at a ridiculous price, and they'll complain if they don't end up selling. They'd curse the government for their misfortune in life and... hmm, it is really sad seeing how people are willing to make bad use of every opportunity they get.

I remembered when life was better, and it is just so sad knowing that the better part could be traced to the past. Sad, yeah? But this is the state we've found ourselves in. Also, looking at the music world, most songs that inspire us the most lie in the past.

This new generation just spits all over the mic, that's why I mostly don't enjoy their music. But, I am not blind to the fact that there are still gems among these generations, though they are not that famous.

Speaking of old songs, getting my hands on "Sound of music" is amazing. The music and the little scenes my brain could remember from the movie makes it worthwhile. It's fascinating how music could be evergreen in all ways.

As for Nikki, I am glad I got to listen to her song. Though she's dead, her music lives on. Her voice is filled with so much emotion that you can be heard if you are truly listening. For some reason, it calms me, makes me smile, and most especially inspires me. I guess I have to listen more to really get why I feel these emotions.

    Inconsolable; Nikki McKibbin.

I found this gem a few minutes ago, and I enjoyed listening. I love the scenery and, most especially, the voices.
