I posted about me going to the dentist a few weeks ago and what a ninny I am about the dentist!
So, how do I be a good mom and let my monkey know he's in good hands and make him feel better? EEEEEK!
Matthew has his own horrible story about having to be admitted to hospital to have a particularly nasty tooth pulled. We'd tried several times to do it at the dentist, but he put up one hell of a fight for a then 7-year-old Matthew. Even my 6-foot-tall ex couldn't hold him down. We and the staff at the dentist all agreed that it would be better to have Matthew admitted and remove the tooth under general anesthesia.
It was pretty hectic for everyone, but at least they got the tooth out. At least it was a baby tooth, but it shattered as soon as they started extraction.
Needless to say, we were absolutely delighted to hear that Matthew has been doing a good job with brushing and he didn't even need any fillings!!
They sent him off with a big smile and some special fluoride toothpaste for him to use <3
But he was so brave when they did the cleaning - which can be uncomfortable and even a little sore if you have sensitive teeth.
At the end of the day, he was a champ!
Well done @matthew-williams!
