Namaste and A Very Happy New Year to all the Warriors of Splinterlands!🙏
In this week's 🌟Splinterlands Social Media Challenge🌟 I will be showing you a battle where even with a very low mana cap I used a simple yet effective strategy and won.
And I assure you that you will not only enjoy it but will also find it easy to understand and use because of its simplicity!😎
The total mana cap for this battle was just 15, including the summoner's mana cost as we all know and the ruleset for this battle is Standard: No change to standard gameplay rules!
My lineup for this amazing battle!
I created my team by using all 15 of my mana caps.
By placing 'Cursed Windeku' in the first position, I have tried to use his good health and Thorn's ability to protect myself from the initial attacks while also causing damage to the enemy. After which, I have placed another melee attacker with the Sneak ability in the second position and finally a ranged attacker who also has the Shatter ability. If I had the more mana cap to add more cards besides these three, I would include a healer and a magic attacker.
Now I will take you to the battlefield!
As you can see my enemy also has built his team with the same Death Summoner. We both have 3 cards each and another similarity is that both of us have the same card in the first position. Apart from this, the enemy on the left has placed a magic in the second position and a range attacker in the third position.
Now let's see what happens when the battle starts!
🔥Round 1
Here, as expected, when two cards with similar stats and abilities are facing each other, it is obvious that their attacks will be mirrored and hence, both the cards with Thorns ability started the battle by attacking each other due to their higher speed and in this above screenshot, you can see the damage of Thorns ability after their attacks.
Here you can see my second-position melee attacker attacking the enemy's last card. Usually, melee attackers are only able to attack from the first position, but if they have the Reach, Sneak, or Opportunity ability, they can attack from different positions on the battlefield depending on the ability. In my case, my second-position card has the Sneak ability, so it was able to attack from the second position as well.
🔥Round 2
Here again at the start of the second round both the first-positioned attackers targeted each other and due to limited health, they were unable to escape the Thorns after attacking each other and got knocked out. Now from here you must have understood the direction of the battle because the enemy has only one magic attacker left and I still have 2 attackers left, however this is not that easy because my cards also have less health, so let's see what happens next.
🔥Round 2 (right after that)
Well, in the screenshot you are seeing the end of the battle but just before that when the enemy card attacked then I noticed that this last enemy card had Life Leech ability due to which its health increased by one after one attack. I would say that if the enemy got just one more chance to attack, the tables would have turned and I would have lost this battle because here if my current first position card got knocked out then my next card would have stopped attacking as soon as it came to the first position because it is a range attacker.
You will get all this and much more information related to this game by clicking on 'How to Play' and believe me these small things prove to be very helpful in improving your strategy.
However, winning and losing is part of the game but it is important to enjoy and learn from it and you will be able to do both these things beautifully through this battle.
