There is very little left before the arrival of these birds, but winter does not give up and continues to fight with the coming spring.
In the old days, and maybe still somewhere in villages, this bird was called “icebreaker”. The thing is that as soon as spring came and the river opened up, at that moment the wagtails flew in. They walked on the ice and shook their tail, and it looked like they were hitting the ice.

My first photo depicts exactly this. It was taken in mid-April near the river bank. The bird walked on the snow and ice, sang a song that was very unintelligible and quiet.
