The Ornamental Bridge in the local country park was built from 1763 to 1770 and has been restored to its former glory following an act of vandalism in 2018. It looks particularly good when the sun is out and you get a beautiful reflection of the white clouds on the surface of the lake.
This is my entry to the Reflection Hunter's Contest - Round 213.
Great Crested Grebe are excellent divers, as they search for small fish, such as perch and roach. The bright sun overhead cast a reflection on the water’s surface.
As the sun dipped low over the lake, a black-headed gull distinctive with its dark cap landed on a weathered post, pausing for a brief rest while its reflection shimmered in the water below.
Through the tall reeds lining the edge of the lake, we caught a glimpse of a solitary herring gull. These gulls are larger than their black-headed counterparts and are often seen scavenging along shorelines or resting in similar habitats.
Thank you to @olgavita and the Reflection Hunter's Team for running the contest.
