This week's Splinterlands community challenge is about underrated cards, and oh man do I have an opinion about this. Not only is it an underrated card, but its also a summoner, and one that can play with the tough ones too. I'm of course talking about my all-time favorite summoner: Skargore.
At a glance, Skargore is a pretty basic summoner. She provides only a single ability to her team, but that ability is Enrage. Enrage is a very powerful ability, and that is what makes her so strong. We can put this on cards that are not balanced around having access to this ability. Some typical cards we can combine her with are
That final card, Forgotten One, is I guess the perfect card for this community challenge 😂!
Enrage increases Attack and Speed by a factor 1.5, rounded up. We should pick our cards to use this effect to its maximum potential. Its noteworthy that Enrage is stronger the higher base stats we have on our cards. So to use it best, we want cards that already have huge speed or attack. We can use Swiftness and Inspire to increase these stats, and might also consider adding Slow to further separate the speed of our team and our opponent's team.
When do we use Skargore? She is extra strong when you can trigger Enrage reliably. This is easy in Noxious Fumes and Earthquake. She is also very good in Equalizer matches, where you can trigger Enrage while the units still have plenty of health left. We can also use the new debilitation Incendiary to enrage our backline, but this is quite risky and should be considered an advanced strategy (but see Battle 3 below).
Skargore can to some extend be played like Conqueror Jacek. The strategy I talked about in this post Splinterlands Strategy for Conqueror Jacek: Unhittable Chaos Agent works excellently for Skargore as well.

Lets look at some battle examples for Skargore to get you inspired:

Final words
I hope you are inspired to start using Skargore in your Splinterlands matches. She is a great summoner, and since she is almost never played, you can get an edge on your opponent's by starting to use her in the right circumstances.
