I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! 😁 It was sweltering today so we were advised just to enjoy the day indoors. We were supposed to get something from the grocery today, but the heat irritated us all. 😆
This week, I chose Neb Seni! 😁
Art Process
Usually, I just follow whatever the card as is. This time, I experimented on the theme. I wanted to put elements on the background to match the card. Neb Seni is somewhat a pharaoh in the first glance. Hehe. Maybe because of the gold hardware and clothing.
I just did a rough sketch using a different color of pen and then did the lineart using a soft brush. Next, I applied the base colors in different layers.
Apply some soft and hard shadings clipped on the base color layers. I do not have a specific procedure for what goes first. Whatever I feel, I just do it, hehe. Using a flat brush I started working on the hair shine and gold hardware.
More glows applied on the gold hardware. Since Neb Seni is a pharaoh, I want to make an Egyptian vase, like those ancient relics. I search for a reference for me to get some inspiration. I just copied and pasted one vase to save time.
Final Art
I downloaded a Hieroglyphics brush to make the vases look more authentic to the team. I used the edit tool to blur the background to give highlight to the card.
Lastly, I used a zap brush for the glowing purple aura. Using a glow dodge, I applied glow on nearby.
