Castlevania is a series of video games created by Hitoshi Akamatsu and developed by Konami Corporation, the premiere of its first video game was on September 26, 1986, based loosely on the mythology of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, having a connection with the novel and the video game, apart from that Castlevania also incorporates elements of other mythologies such as Greek, Egyptian, Sumerian, Mayan mythology, etc.
Castlevania es una serie de videojuegos creado por Hitoshi Akamatsu y desarrollado por Konami Corporation, el estreno de su primer videojuego fue el 26 de septiembre de 1986 basada levemente en la mitología de la novela Drácula de Bram Stoker teniendo una conexión con la novela y el videojuego, a parte que Castlevania también incorpora elementos de otras mitologías como lo son la mitología griega, egipcia , Sumeria, maya, etc.
The game itself is a tremendous gem with excellent character development, good graphics and an excellent soundtrack (1000/10) so much so that Netflix in 2017 decided to adapt Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse into an anime-style series, created by Sam Beats and Warren Ellis produced by Adi Shankar. The series was renewed for a second season in 2018 and with the third season in production which premiered in March 2020 and the last season in 2021
El juego en si, es tremenda joyita con excelentes desarrollo de personajes, buena gráficas y una excelente banda sonora ( 1000/10) tanto así que Netflix en 2017 decidió adaptar Castlevania III: Drácula's Curse en una serie al estilo anime, creará por Sam Beats y Warren Ellis producidas por Adi Shankar. La serie se renovo para una segunda temporada en 2018 y con la tercera temporada en producción la cual se estreno el marzo del 2020 y la última temporada en 2021
The story begins when Dracula's wife is sentenced to the stake for being falsely convicted of practicing witchcraft, Dracula goes mad declaring war on all the inhabitants of Wallachia, causing his army of monsters and demons to ravage the entire country, causing people to begin to live in fear and distrust. To stop Dracula, the monster hunter Trevor Belmont rises along with the magician Sypha Belnades and Dracula's son Adrian Alucard Tepes
La historia comienza cuando la esposa de Drácula es sentenciada a la hoguera por ser condenada falsamente de practicar brujería, Drácula enloquece declarando la guerra para todos los habitantes de Wallachia, haciendo que su ejército de monstruos y demonios arrasarán con todo el país, haciendo que la gente empezará a vivir con temor y desconfianza. Cabe destacar que Netflix no sigue la cronología oficial de la saga del videojuego, adaptando solamente Castlevania III: Drácula's Curse Castlevania : Symphony of the night y Castlevania : Rondo of Blood
Personally, I'm quite surprised by the good work Netflix did to adapt this series (I'm not a big fan of the adaptations they make) the animation that the series has seems too good to me and goes quite well with the style of what Castlevania represents, its design is neither too delicate nor too abrupt and it is attached to video game animation (something that surprises me coming from Netflix)
En lo personal me sorprende bastante el buen trabajo que hizo Netflix para adaptar esta serie ( No soy muy fanática de las adaptaciones que hacen) la animación que tiene la serie me parece demaciado buena y va bastante bien con el estilo de lo que Castlevania representa, su diseño no es ni muy delicado ni muy brusco y va apegado a las animación de videojuego ( algo que me sorprende viniendo de Netflix)
Another point in favor was the extraordinary work they did adapting Dracula as a villain, the character development they gave him is quite well adapted, they don't make him look so cruel but not so good either, from my perspective he is a fairly well-balanced villain and the complex relationship he has with Alucard is the cherry on the cake, having a rather complex and long development between both characters.
Otra punto a favor fue el extraordinario trabajo que hicieron adaptando a Drácula como villano, ese desarrollo de personaje que le dieron está bastante bien adaptado, no lo hacen ver ni tan cruel pero tampoco tan bueno, a mí perspectiva es un villano bastante bien equilibrado y la relación tan compleja que tiene con Alucard es la cereza del pastel, teniendo está un desarollo bastante complejo y largo entre ambos personajes
I highly recommend this series, to understand it you don't need to play all the video games (although if you like these themes and want to get hooked for a while, I recommend playing this incredible saga ❤️), already from the first season you can understand the context of the story in an easy way. It seems to me a nice tribute to the video game apart from the fact that it is a living example of the impact that this video game had at the time and continues to have today, consecrating itself as a little gem.
Recomiendo mucho está serie, para entenderla no es necesario jugar todos los videojuegos ( auque si te gustan estos temas y te quieres viciar un rato, te recomiendo jugar está increíble saga ❤️), ya desde la primera temporada puedes entender el contexto de la historia de manera fácil. Se me hace un lindo homenaje para el videojuego a parte que es una viva muestra del impacto que tuvo este videojuego en su momento y lo sigue teniendo en la actualidad, consagrandose como una joyita
