I'm here to tell you about the day I attended an anime convention for the first time!
Hola Comunidad! Espero estén tan bien estoy yo en el día de hoy!
Paso por acá a contarles sobre el día en que asistí a una convención de animé por primera vez!
This is an event usually called Comic Con and it lasts for 2 days, but this time it was only about anime and lasted just one day. I had attended a similar event a while ago, Comic Con, but never one specifically for anime. I always imagined it would be a big event because I enjoy seeing how people show their passion for this culture through their cosplays.
So that day was my moment to experience it firsthand. I was so excited!
We waited a long time to get in. That day I went with my girlfriend, her sister, and her nieces.
Este es un evento que normalmente se llama Comic Con y dura 2 días pero esta vez sólo era de Animé y duró ese día.
Ya había asistido a un evento similar un tiempo atrás, a la Comic Con, pero nunca específicamente de animé. Siempre me imaginé que sería un gran acontecimiento porque disfruto de ver como la gente demuestra su pasión por esta cultura a través de sus cosplays.
Así que ese día fue mi momento de vivirlo en primera persona. Estaba tan emocionada!
Esperamos para entrar durante mucho tiempo. Ese día fui con mi novia, su hermana y sus sobrinas.
Upon entering the place, we were both surprised and not surprised to see so many people! But we were all equally excited and thrilled, wanting to look at everything around us.
Al ingresar al lugar nos sorprendió y a la vez no, que haya tanta gente! Pero todos estábamos igual de emocionados y sobresaltados, queriendo mirar todo lo que nos rodeaba.
There were many people around who were dressed up (or cosplaying) as their favorite characters. My youngest niece was delighted because she had never seen anything like it before, so she took every opportunity to take photos with any character she recognized.
Habían muchas personas por el lugar que estaban disfrazadas (o haciendo cosplay) de sus personajes favoritos. Mi sobrina más chica estaba encantada porque ella realmente nunca había visto algo así así que no perdió oportunidad para tomarse fotos con cualquier personaje que conociera.
Not only did she take photos with her favorite characters, but my sister-in-law did too. As soon as she saw this guy dressed as Chainsaw Man, she happily ran towards him, eager to have a memento with it.
No solo ella aprovechó a tomarse fotos con sus personajes favoritos, sino que mi cuñada también. Apenas vio a este tipo Chainsaw Man, corrió muy contenta hacia él dispuesta a tener un recuerdo con él.
As I mentioned before, the decoration of the place was designed so that you could interact with it and take photos. There were various Pokémon characters and other anime characters.
I like to watch anime at home, but I have to admit that it’s hard for me to become a big fan to the point of wanting to buy related merchandise. However, when I like something, I buy it without hesitation! There are some things I do like to collect, such as Marvel items, but on this occasion, even though comics weren’t given much importance, I found some places selling related items, so when I saw this mug, I fell in love! I couldn’t not have it among my things.
Como mencioné antes, la decoración del lugar estaba pensada para que puedas también interactuar con él y tomarte fotos. Habían varios personajes de Pokemon y de otros animés.
A mí me gusta mirar animés en mi casa pero tengo que admitir que me cuesta mucho convertirme en una gran fan al punto de querer comprarme cosas referidas a eso pero cuando algo me gusta, me lo compro sin dudarlo! Hay algunas cosas que sí me gusta coleccionar, por ejemplo cosas referidas a Marvel pero en esta ocasión, si bien no se le dio mucha importancia a los comics, encontré algunos lugares en los que vendían artículos sobre ello así que cuando vi esta taza, quedé enamorada! No podía no tenerla entre mis cosas.
Oh, I forgot to mention there was a fair where various anime-related items were sold, and that’s where we bought Bianca the bamboo stick that Nezuko uses in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She was very happy pretending to be a demon!
Ah, me olvidaba de mencionar que había una feria en la que se vendían distintas cosas referidas a estos animés y ahí es en donde le compramos a Bianca, ese bambú que es el que usa Netzuko en Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Estaba muy contenta jugando a que era un demonio!
We had an incredible afternoon walking around the place! Since it was so crowded, you can imagine that eating was crazy. We had to wait a long time to get a small sandwich; the girls were hungry, and so were we, but we tried not to let that affect our mood to avoid ruining our day. Fortunately, after eating and drinking something, we were able to go back in and finish seeing what we had missed.
The girls were very happy!
Tuvimos una tarde increíble paseando por el lugar! Al estar tan lleno de gente, podrán imaginarse que comer fue una locura. Tuvimos que esperar mucho para poder comer un pequeño sandwich, las niñas estaban hambrientas y nosotras también pero tratamos de que eso no afectara nuestro ánimo para no arruinar nuestro día. Por suerte luego de haber comido y bebido algo, pudimos volver a entrar para terminar de ver lo que nos faltaba recorrer.
Las chicas quedaron muy felices!
