With weather like this, many people experience unhealthy conditions due to these factors. Therefore, we need to choose healthy foods so that our immune system is maintained. Such as consuming vegetables. I will recommend one of the vegetables that has various benefits if we consume it, namely moringa leaves.
Moringa leaves or Moringa oleivera are tropical plants that have many health benefits. Did you know, this plant is rich in important nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, magnesium and potassium. With its abundant nutritional composition, moringa leaves are often used in herbal medicine to support overall health.
Among the other most famous miracles of moringa leaves is its ability to ward off free radicals. Not only that, usually in rural areas like the area where I live, moringa leaves are used as a mixture of sour vegetables. Like in my area, katuk leaves and moringa leaves are often cooked as clear vegetables for people who have just given birth because they can increase breast milk. In the past, after I gave birth, my mother often made it for me. I really felt the benefits. Not only that, clear moringa leaf soup is very suitable for people who are sick or not well because it has natural healing functions such as accelerating wound healing. And several other benefits.
This time I cooked moringa leaves by combining them with unripe papaya for a more delicious taste, because unripe papaya will give a natural sweet taste to the vegetable soup that we will cook. In addition, the spices that I will use will also give a slightly different taste from clear vegetables in general. I added a very typical kitchen spice in my area, namely sunti acid (dried starfruit) for a sour sensation that will tempt our tongue to eat it. And also don't forget for the fragrant and fresh aroma of the soup I will add kaffir lime leaves, hmm I really like the aroma. Come on friends, let's see the ingredients and how to make it below.
Ingredient Needed:
- 150-200 gr Moringa leaves
- 1/2 unripe papaya
- 2-3 pieces Kaffir lime leaves
- 2 tbsp Dried small shrimps
- 5 pieces Asam sunti
- 2 pieces Red chilies
- 10-15 pieces Cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp Flavoring
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
First: pick the Moringa leaves, take the leaves only. Wash clean. Set aside
Second: peel the papaya, wash the papaya from the sap. Cut thinly (according to taste) until finished. Set aside
Third: prepare the spices. Add red chilies, cayenne pepper, salt. I suggest grinding the ingredients first so that they are not slippery, then add the Asam sunti and dried small shrimp that have been washed clean or you can also replace them with fresh small shrimp. Just grind roughly. Set aside
Fourth: prepare, boil water until boiling. Add papaya and all other ingredients. Cook until cooked. Don't forget to check the taste. Serve
