Save Your Pinmapple Pins with TravelFeed's Import Tool!

in voilk •  2 months ago

With Pinmapple closing down at the end of May, all of your existing pins are set to disappear. That means all of those posts you've worked so hard on will no longer have a home. To avoid this tragedy, we have created a tool that will allow you to import all of your existing Pinmapple pins to TravelFeed and ensure they live on. Alongside this, future pins will also remain functional through the travelfeed.com front-end!

How to Import Your Pinmapple Posts to TravelFeed

TravelFeed.com is built on Hive, so all you have to do is login through Hive Keychain (or Hivesigner) like you would with any other front-end. To import your Pinmapple posts, watch this short video for a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Access the Import Feature

    1. Log in to your TravelFeed account or go to your TravelFeed Dashboard if you are already logged in.
    2. Click on 'Drafts' in the sidebar.
    3. Click on 'Import', located next to the 'Published' tab. On mobile, it's a green import icon.
    4. Select 'Pinmapple (Hive)'

Step 2: Select Posts to Import

Once you're on the import page, you'll see a list of all your Pinmapple posts that are not yet imported to TravelFeed fetched automatically. To import the desired posts, follow these steps:

    1. Review the list of your Pinmapple posts.
    2. Select the posts you want to import by checking the boxes next to them.
    3. Click on the 'Import Selected Posts' button (you might need to scroll down to see it) to start the import process.

It's that simple! Your pins should now be imported and living on through TravelFeed. They will be visible on your personal map on your profile, as well as on our global TravelFeed map.

    Creating New Posts on TravelFeed
