"The Brilliance of Cherry Blossoms Which Illuminate the Evening"

"Hanaakari" refers to the appearance of cherry blossoms in full bloom, which makes the area seem slightly brighter even at night. It was cold today and the cherry blossoms had not yet bloomed near my home, but the forecast says that the temperature will rise tomorrow and the blossoms will be in full bloom this weekend. And it is predicted that they will be in full bloom in early April.
This painting is quite bright rather than faint, but I tried to depict the gentle and delicate flowers in an abstract manner.
Since I am always cooped up painting, I would like to go out to see the cherry blossoms.
In my case, cherry-blossom viewing is a quiet, solitary experience for me.

「花明かり」

花明かりとは、満開の桜の花の中で、夜でもあたりがほの明るく感じられる様子のことだそうです。今日は寒くて、まだ自宅近くでは桜の花は開花しておりませんでしたが、明日から気温が上がり、この週末にも開花しそうだという予報が出ています。そして満開になるのは4月はじめという予報が出ています。
この絵はほのかというよりもかなり明るい絵ですが、優しく繊細な花の様子を抽象的に描いてみました。
いつもこもって絵を描いているから、お花見には出かけたいですね。
お花見といっても私の場合はひとり静かに桜を観るのです。
