Of Roadside Barriers & Shadows

    Magandang buhay!

It was a busy Sunday for us. We were out in the morning and came back home mid-afternoon, and I was already feeling drained by then. A short nap should have solved it but there were things to be done, both online and IRL. And guess what? None of them were accomplished. Why so? My wee pup decided we needed some playtime. And what does a good fur mom do? Give in. LOL!

Anyhow, 'nuff of the ramblings and let me just share some shadows taken along different places during our adventures in December.

For whatever reason, I have a certain fascination with stretchy streets and highways. I noticed that they are my most photographed places when we are on road trips. I'm always in the passenger's seat when the husband is driving and it makes me feel expectant or on the lookout for what's ahead of us.

When the road is less busy, it invites me to take photos and I love it because it feels effortless even when the car's running fast. The views are mostly unimpeded and it is easier to see what's before us.

If you have noticed the shadows of the concrete barriers in the above pictures, they are mostly accidental shadow shots because they were not the main focus at the time they were taken. It's nice that some of them turned out quite presentable. I like the double shadows of the barriers in the photo below.

These photos by the way are mostly in the lowlands (except for the first 3 at the start of this post - they were photographed in Bessang Pass, which used to be one of the most treacherous highways in Region 1).

And let me just add the shadows of the concrete railings on the stairs in the viewpoint area which I shared previously in my Stairway to Heaven post.

This is my participation in the 308th Edition of the Shadow Hunters initiative by Melinda.

Thank you and Happy Sunday everyone!
