A Simple Walk: Kids, Laughter, and Sunset

Hey there, dearest Hivers! How have you been so far? I hope you are all doing fine. Otherwise, I am sure that a walk can always come in handy to release all that week's stresses! Well, my dearest Hivers, I just did another short walk with the kids. So, I thought I would just give a brief rundown of what happened during the little escapade we had. More of the usual down-to-earth things that can really jazz up your day a little bit more. My sister and I just suddenly planned to take the kids for a walk, just to somehow tire them out, have them play, and enjoy the green environment for a while. This was exactly one of those moments where the day felt just right again. There was a fresh wind blowing, kids laughing, and the refreshing atmosphere of our favorite walking area. We went to the road close to our home, the place where we usually have our afternoon walks. If you happened to have bumped into my previous blogs, then you probably are already familiar with this place. The weather is usually good for a walk here.
The kids got automatically bubbly as soon as we arrived at our walking spot. Of course, as expected, they immediately began playing and chasing one another on the road, running while laughing. So, we had to keep our eyes on them because, even though the road is not too busy, there are still a few vehicles passing by. Honestly, one of the kids, specifically my niece, was kind of sick and had stayed indoors for quite some time. We believed a walk would help. We thought this would make her feel better and also help her get a bit sweaty and active. This is her, and she indeed went back energized.

Well, of course, I then took some pictures of the kids. It just felt so nice to see them enjoying each other's company. They were laughing and playing when I felt the urge to take photos of them together. So, I invited them for a picture, and without further ado, they all posed because these kids are actually used to and love to be photographed. Well, you know how it is. It's evident they're happy with this simple walk. Then I told my niece to babysit her little brother for a while so that his big sis could have some fun on her own. They are actually my cousin’s kids, and they just follow us whenever we go for a walk. It worked out quite well since each of them had a little time to go off and engage themselves!
Oh, and for this one, I just had to take a couple of photographs of this adorable little baby, my sister’s son. He's such a doll! He has cute eyes and an adorable smile. I just couldn’t resist snapping the shot since I literally got so excited about him. I mean, he is too cute!

Of course, they expectedly would be thirsty, so we always had their water bottles with us as well. Well, sure enough, one of them, my niece, did happen to become a bit thirsty, so she drank some water. Taking a break after running non-stop, while the other one was still eating her guava HAHAHAHA.

After that, when the sun was lowering down in the sky, we felt that we could perhaps go back home already. The sunset was just beautiful. I hate to admit that the sky was that perfect later, but I haven't captured the best part since my phone was already dead—low on battery. Now, here are some.

That's it for our day! Not much of a complicated hike, as this was just a simple walk with the kids, which of course had a little bonus treat. This simple activity is somehow one of those things that can pull us back and help us see that there is so much to be grateful for. For now, this blog ends here, dearest Hivers. I'm hoping that you are also getting some moments to take your own little strolls. Thank you so much for reading. See you around!
