So könnt ihr hartnäckige Wasserflecken vom Stark-Regen/Hochwasser übermalen.
Meine Wohnung hat wie berichtet vom Hochwasser/Stark-Regen in Wien auch einen kleinen Schaden genommen.
Habe beim Küchenfenster an den unteren seitlichen Ecken und auch im Wohnzimmer an der Wand direkt beim Fenster kleine unschöne Wasserflecken bekommen, was mich am Anfang überrascht hat.
Anscheinend dichten die alten Fenster nicht mehr so gut ab oder es wurde die Wand durch den tagelangen Dauerregen und Wasser am Fensterbrett feucht.
Habe versucht den Fleck mit normaler Wandfarbe zu übermalen, aber der Fleck ist immer wieder durchgekommen, was ich kaum glauben konnte.
So übermalt man einen Wasserfleck
Wichtig ist, wenn man einen Wasserfleck übermalen möchte, dass man zuerst die Ursache klärt, um einen weiteren Wassereintritt zum Beispiel bei undichten Rohren zu verhindern.
Dann sollte man die Wand komplett austrocknen lassen, was sogar mehrere Tage beanspruchen kann. Dann sieht man auch, ob man die Ursache gelöst hat oder nicht.
Ist die Wand immer noch feucht, dann zurück an den Start. Denn ohne die Ursache zu bekämpfen, macht es keinen Sinn weiterzumachen.
Ist die Wand trocken, müsste es normalerweise reichen die Wand mit der gleichen Wandfarbe zu übermalen, aber wenn es ein hartnäckiger Fleck ist, kann es sein, dass der Fleck durch die Feuchtigkeit der Farbe wie in meinem Fall wieder leicht durchschlägt.
Das ist ärgerlich. Aber es gibt auch dafür eine Lösung, wie mir das Internet verraten hat. Und zwar braucht man dann eine nicht wasser-lösliche Isolierfarbe, die man in jedem Baumarkt oder Farbshop (100% Farbe in Wien) bekommt. Wie zb den "Flecken Blocker" von molto. Ein deutsches Produkt.
Mit dem Flecken-Blocker überstreicht man den Fleck mit einer dünnen Schicht (am Besten mit derselben Technik, wie man die Wand gestrichen hat) und dann lässt man das Ganze 2-3 Stunden trocknen.
Dann sollte der Fleck bereits verschwunden sein. Zusätzlich kann man die Stelle dann auch noch mit der entsprechenden Wandfarbe dünn übermalen, damit sich auch die Textur (und Farbe) wieder angleicht. Fertig!

As reported, my apartment has also suffered a little damage from the flooding/heavy rain in Vienna.
I got small awful looking water stains on the lower side corners of the kitchen window and also in the living room, which surprised me at first.
Apparently the old windows no longer seal so well or the wall became damp due to the days of constant rain and water on the windowsill.
I tried to paint over the stain with normal wall paint, but the stain kept coming through, which I could hardly believe.
How to paint over a water stain
If you want to paint over a water stain, it is important that you first clarify the cause to prevent further water ingress, for example in the case of leaking pipes.
Then you should allow the wall to dry out completely, which can take several days. Then you can see whether you have solved the cause or not.
If the wall is still damp, go back to the start. Because without tackling the cause, it makes no sense to continue.
If the wall is dry, it should normally be enough to paint over the wall with the same wall paint as before, but if it's a stubborn stain, the moisture in the paint may cause the stain to bleed through again easily, as in my case.
That is annoying. But there is also a solution for that, as the internet has told me. You need a non-water-soluble insulating paint, which you can get in any DIY store or paint store (100% paint in Vienna). Such as the “stain blocker” from molto. A German product.
Apply a thin layer of the stain blocker to the stain (preferably using the same technique you used to paint the wall) and then leave to dry for 2-3 hours.
The stain should have disappeared by then. You can also paint over the area with a thin layer of the appropriate wall paint to even out the texture (and color). Done!
