We had no idea and couldn't believe our eyes when we got out of the train in Mons, Belgium. We stuttered… Is this… is this Calatrava? Of course, it was—his design can't be mistaken for anyone else's.
December 18, 2024, was the official opening day, and we arrived just a few days after. It was still fresh and new, and of course, none of the elevators and escalators we wanted to use worked. We're still more than stunned that a small town like Mons has such a huge train station now and spent so much money on it!
