This 1 ounce silver lady Liberty bar was released by MTB, Manfra Tordella, and Brooks in celebration of the Statue of Liberty's 100th anniversary.
Vintage 1982 MTB Statue of Liberty : Medallic Arts
MTB released a number of rounds and bars that were to be struck by the most prominent figures in the sector. When the initiative first started in 1982, the Medallic Arts firm struck a small number of bars.
The one-ounce silver bar that was highlighted was made of.999 pure silver. Lady Liberty is shown in full length on the obverse.
The MTB logo is repeated on the reverse, along with a special serial number and the highly sought-after "MA" privy mark.
The initiative was carried out again in 1984 under the brand name Liberty brand Silver. The Mexican mint, Johnson Matthey, and Engelhard were entrusted with creating a range of silver bullion bars and rounds in different sizes.
This bar is in perfect shape and comes from a private collection. The bar comes undamaged and airtight in its original mint-sealed plastic packaging. Not a single flaw or tone visible to the naked eye.
An exquisite piece that I a so glad I have in my collection!
