Somos Astromelia, una banda de seis amigos que escuchan todo tipo de música. Estaremos subiendo contenido de nuestras presentaciones, covers, y cosas de nuestro diario vivir como banda.
Nuestra meta: Llegar a viajar por todo el mundo y presentarnos a nivel internacional como lo hacen nuestros artistas favoritos.
Have you ever dreamed of forming a band with your friends and traveling the world? Although maybe you passed the idea quickly since - probably - you live in Latin America and think that achieving it is impossible. But... Is it really?
We are Astromelia, a band of six friends who listen to all kinds of music. We will be uploading content from our performances, covers, and things from our daily life as a band.
Our goal: To travel around the world and present ourselves internationally like our favorite artists do.
¿Por qué "Astromelia"? Seguramente te estarás preguntando el significado de ese nombre. Anteriormente nuestra banda se llamaba "The Paradise", nombre que escogimos al inicio de nuestro proyecto pero después de un tiempo decidimos optar por un nuevo nombre. Algunos de los miembros de la agrupación estudian otras artes además de la música. En nuestro pueblo, existe una institución llamada Teatro Estable de Villa de Cura, la cual es dirigida por el.Maestro Orlando Ascanio. En la Sala Enrico Terrentín, como parte de las clases de artes escénicas, el Maestro Ascanio nos habló acerca de la flor astromelia, y su significado.
Nos sentimos identificados con ella: sus seis pétalos se nos asemejaban a nuestros seis participantes y el ver cómo cada uno de sus pétalos representa una característica diferente: comprensión, humor, paciencia, empatía, compromiso y respeto, aparte de ser un llamado para manifestar esto en nuestra vida personal y artística simboliza la diversidad que hay entre cada uno de nosotros.
Why "Astromelia"? Surely you are wondering the meaning of that name. Previously our band was called "The Paradise", a name we chose at the beginning of our project but after a while we decided to opt for a new name. Some of the members of the group study other arts in addition to music. In our town, there is an institution called Teatro Estable de Villa de Cura, which is directed by Maestro Orlando Ascanio. In the Enrico Terrentín Room, as part of the performing arts classes, Maestro Ascanio spoke to us about the astromelia flower, and its meaning.
We felt identified with it: its six petals resembled our six participants and seeing how each of its petals represents a different characteristic: understanding, humor, patience, empathy, commitment and respect, apart from being a call to manifest this in our personal and artistic lives, symbolizes the diversity that exists between each of us.

Quien nos habló acerca de Hive.blog fue el profesor Gabriel Sumoza (@gaborockstar), el primero en ingresar a la página fue @aletoalonewolf, luego @yhonmi y ahora ¡Astromelia en pleno! La vemos como una oportunidad de poder conocer músicos de todas partes del mundo lo cual nos ayudará a crecer en lo profesional, aprendiendo de otros y mostrando nuestro progreso.
