I enjoyed the new Lords of the Fallen so much that I went and started a NG+ run straight away. It's rare for me to go into NG+ in games as I usually want to move on to new games after finishing them but I've had so much fun with this game that I don't want it to end. I don't think I've done a NG+ run of a game since playing the Surge a few years ago.
Going Inferno
For this run I'm changing up my playstyle completely from my usual two-handed heavy weapon builds. This time I will be going heavily into Inferno, focusing on magic and speed. Mostly focusing on buffing my weapons through magic and making them deal fire damage. I'm also using an axe and a sword to dual wield which is quite different than using a two-handed weapon. It's more speedy and versatile for sure.
The weapons I'm using for this build deal both physical damage and fire damage while also inflicting the bleed, burn and ignite status effects to enemies. Because of this I'm using rings that boosts my fire attacks while also causing the ignite status effect to build up faster when I use fire attacks. On top of this I'm equipping an amulet that boosts my damage based on how many status effects I apply ot an enemy. With three status effects going on every enemy it's boosting my damage by a fair bit.
So far I've played a few hours using this build and it's absolutely destroying everything. I'm playing on NG+ which is more difficult than the base difficulty and enemies and bosses are dying faster than they were on the base difficulty. I don't think a single boss has been alive for more than 10 seconds so far and I haven't died to a single one.
There is one downside to this build and that is overconfidence. There's been a few situations where I've started to feel basically invincible only to be humbled by a pack of enemies because I take on to much. Games like these really have a way to put you back to earth once you start feeling a little to good about yourself.
My current focus is to strengheten this build in any way I can. If you want to follow that journey then check out the VODs from my stream or try to catch me online as I stream the game. You'll find me on both Twitch and YouTube.
