The morning draped itself in a thick, damp fog, wrapping everything in a muted, mysterious hush. My cough had eased but left me feeling far from fully myself, so I settled for a short stroll through the palace gardens. As often, I began my walk at my favorite bridge, a steadfast companion on countless mornings. Today, the bridge was transformed, its arches softened by the swirling mist. The scene felt like stepping into an old, water-stained photograph, every detail blurred but still familiar. The air was heavy, carrying the scent of wet earth and distant memories, and though my steps were slow, they felt deliberate. That bridge, framed by the fog, reminded me that even in stillness, beauty finds a way to speak.
