Carlos Acutis es uno de los santos de nuestros tiempos, venerados en la Iglesia Católica, se trata de un adolescente que murió de Leucemia a los 15 años de edad. Entre las cosas a resaltar en su vida, podemos hablar de su devoción y amor por el sacramento de la Eucaristía. No obstante en este post no me voy a detener en esto sino en una de sus frases la cual es: "La Eucaristía es mi autopista al cielo", la cual desde la consideración teológica de que el cielo no es un lugar, sino un estado de nuestro ser, al cual accedemos mediante la fe, pues, se trata de vivir en la presencia de Dios, la he transformado en la frase "La autopista de la fe". Y esto en, al menos, 3 sentidos.
Llegamos más rápido
Una autopista permite a los carros llegar más rápido a su lugar de destino, de igual manera, la fe, que es la certeza de la acción de Dios en nuestras vidas, nos permite que aceleremos muchos proceso de crecimiento en nuestras vidas. Por ejemplo, a veces tenemos muchos miedos y complejos a superar, la fe nos ayuda mucho en estos casos, ya que podemos encontrar en ella ese impulso que nos haga falta.
Alguno podrá objetar que conoce personas que dicen que tienen fe, pero no se les nota la ayuda efectiva que esta le ofrece en sus vidas. Ante esto debemos responder que ya esto se trata de algo personal y que por el proceso que viven algunas personas no podemos juzgar todo el conjunto, igual que si alguien no sabe usar una herramienta (el celular, por ejemplo) no decimos que esta no funciona, sino que uno no se ha preocupado por capacitarse en ella, así es la fe, es necesario capacitarnos de ella para descubrir y aplicar sus bondades.
Accidentarse en el camino
En las autopistas existe un canal de servicio, no todos son canales para correr, también es necesario ese espacio para los carros que en el camino se accidentan. Evidentemente, nadie se quiere accidentar, pero son cosas que a veces son inevitables, así también sucede en nuestras existencias, ya que los errores o lo que la religión pudiese llamar pecados son parte de nosotros, pues, nuestra condición humana es falible por naturaleza. Claro está, estamos en camino de superación, pero esto no quiere decir que no caigamos o nos accidentemos.
Aquí es donde nuestra fe, hablando desde la que profeso, puede brindarnos otra gran ayuda, puesto que nos permite retomar el camino si nos hemos desviado o levantarnos si hemos caído. En menor o mayor medida, los grandes hombres y mujeres de la historia han bebido de su sistema de creencia religioso o de su espiritualidad para que en los momentos de mayor crisis no sucumbir, sino tener las fuerzas necesarias para seguir adelante y nunca dejar de intentarlo.
Los demás carros
En una autopista uno nunca va solo, hasta en los días de mayor asueto aunque sea un carro a la distancia podemos ver. Así lo es también en la vida de fe, al menos una auténtica según mi percepción, ya que uno no cree solo para sí mismo, sino para compartir y crecer junto a otros, de allí la existencia de diversas comunidades reunidas en torno a una creencia religiosa.
En efecto, no puedo comprender ni aceptar una fe que se desatienda de los demás, por ello, propago un real humanismo desde las creencias que tengo, a tal grado que puedo estar de acuerdo con ateos que afirman, como Fuerbach que "El yo se realiza en el tú", pues, aunque sea por diversos caminos apuntamos al mismo objetivo, esto es, propiciar una auténtica fraternidad entre los seres humanos, pues, no vamos solos en la autopista de la fe.

Carlos Acutis is one of the saints of our times, venerated in the Catholic Church. He was a teenager who died of leukemia at the age of 15. Among the things to highlight in his life, we can talk about his devotion and love for the sacrament of the Eucharist. However in this post I am not going to dwell on this but on one of his phrases which is: "The Eucharist is my highway to heaven", which from the theological consideration that heaven is not a place, but a state of our being, which we access through faith, because it is about living in the presence of God, I have transformed it into the phrase "The highway of faith". And this in at least 3 senses.
We get there faster
A highway allows cars to get to their destination faster, likewise, faith, which is the certainty of God's action in our lives, allows us to accelerate many growth processes in our lives. For example, sometimes we have many fears and complexes to overcome, faith helps us a lot in these cases, since we can find in it that impulse that we need.
Some may object that they know people who say they have faith, but they do not notice the effective help that it offers in their lives. To this we must respond that this is already something personal and that by the process that some people live we cannot judge the whole, just as if someone does not know how to use a tool (the cell phone, for example) we do not say that it does not work, but that one has not bothered to be trained in it, so is faith, it is necessary to train ourselves in it to discover and apply its benefits.
Accidents on the road
In the highways there is a service channel, not all are channels to run, it is also necessary that space for the cars that on the way are injured. Evidently, nobody wants to get into an accident, but these are things that sometimes are inevitable, and this also happens in our existence, since mistakes or what religion might call sins are part of us, because our human condition is fallible by nature. Of course, we are on the way to overcoming, but this does not mean that we do not fall or have accidents.
This is where our faith, speaking from the one I profess, can provide us with another great help, since it allows us to get back on track if we have strayed or to pick ourselves up if we have fallen. To a greater or lesser extent, the great men and women of history have drawn from their religious belief system or their spirituality so that in times of greatest crisis they did not succumb, but had the strength to keep going and never stop trying.
The other cars
On a highway one never goes alone, even on the most relaxed days, even if it is a car in the distance, we can see it. So it is also in the life of faith, at least an authentic one according to my perception, since one does not believe only for oneself, but to share and grow together with others, hence the existence of diverse communities gathered around a religious belief.
In fact, I cannot understand nor accept a faith that neglects others, therefore, I propagate a real humanism from the beliefs that I have, to such a degree that I can agree with atheists who affirm, like Fuerbach that "The I is realized in the you", because, although by different ways we point to the same objective, that is, to propitiate an authentic fraternity among human beings, because, we do not go alone in the highway of faith.
