Very Significant Change..

When I was 16 years old, I had a high fever, and that changed my brain somehow.. I was then diagnosed with bipolar, also called manic-depression.

I have been taking lithium in varying doses, everyday since. (well, I got off a few times and paid dearly for doing so..)

I turn 50 next month.. so it's been about 34 years of daily lithium. While it's only some pills.. no big deal or hardship.. it is a extra hassle as well as a reminder, that in a way, I rely on some outside thing to made me function normally.. not goot IMO.

Now, after many many years in which I have lowered my daily intake to just 2 pills per day.. my dr. says I am in full remission! and to stop taking em!

OK! is my instant response. :)

Lithium takes 2 weeks to run through the body. I'll take some more blood tests in 3 weeks and I go see my dr. next month. But, do comment if u notice me making a bunch of really angry or really sad and depressing posts.. :P
