Hello Cycling Community! Welcome to my blog. It had been so long since I cleaned my red bicycle after purchasing new lovely Hero Yellow Cycle. From two days, I was feeling uncomfortable with my new yellow cycle due to a lot of dirt and grease issue. Today, I found time for Cycle Service and Cleaning at home. These two things as essential for the survival of cycle as oxygen for us. Some people like to do them after months and some people like me are interested to do them at weekly basis. I love Cycling hence I like to keep a neat and clean cycle for this purpose. Either it is paddle or a saddle, I love to clean them and replace if their rubber is not good. If you are a cyclist then this post has many cycle cleaning as well as service tips at home for you so must read it carefully.
Cycle Service Steps
Don't ignore cycle cleaning and grease issue if you want to use your cycle for a long time. Both of them are involved in increasing the durability of the cycle parts. Currently, I'm taking following steps to clean my cycle on weekly basis.
- First you need to stand your cycle
- wash whole cycle with water to remove loose dirt
- use Cycle Shampoo to all Cycle Frame and rinse off
- Use shiner and spray it
- Brush on parts where dirt is still sticky
- Dry your bike with Papers tissues or with Towel
- Grease the Castle, chains and groupsets
- Polish all cycle frame
These steps are more helpful to keep our cycle neat and clean. These are easy and can be implemented even at home.
Checklist Points
When we have done service and cleaning at home then we need to check some important cycle parts for smooth ride on it. You should be careful about,
- Breaks and Cables
- Tires air
- Keep some emergency tools for Cycle like Air Pump, Ranch and one tube
After checking all of these things, your bike will be ready for an enjoyable ride.

Being a bicycle Rider from many years, I like to care about my bikes. I have used number of each new and modern bicycles. Currently my yellowish bike is more modern one. It has torch, rough tires, smooth gear system and strong chain. I'm glad to have this. I love to ride and care about my bikes. My weekly cycle service schedule at home adds new ideas into my mind and I apply them. Cycle Cleaning Shampoo and Cycle Polish are much recommended by each cyclist. Either it was saddle or it was rim everything was shiny after cleaning. We need to remove each type of dirt from our cycle. We need to use shiner to save it from rust issue. Usually I do each and every type of cycle at home but sometimes I have to visit a mechanic shop if something is missing by me.
