If you have never been disappointed by your devices - phones and PC or other gadgets at a time when you needed them most, count yourself lucky. In fact, you should come and do giveaway, lol.
These devices sure know how to put someone in a fix, damn! Their drama is too much 😳.
The previous Saturday, I encountered a frustrating technical issue with my phone which left me wondering why my phone will decide to show me shege after all the pampering, love and care that I give it, lol.
But let's face facts, what this phone did wasn't so cool. Damn, it disappointed me big time! And I ask you phone, why?.
Have I not been handling you well since I bought you three years ago? Yes, this past November made it three years, so what? I always ensure that your battery is charged, and even had to buy a power bank for it. Your system and every other app are always updated. Even when the "temperature is too hot" notif pops up, I usually allow you some time to cool off, despite it might cause delay in whatever I was doing.
Okay, haven't I been diligent in ensuring that your memory is optimized and free of junks and the likes? You know that I have, so don't even argue that. 😂
Wait, maybe you don't like the photo on the screen. I can always change it if that's what you want. But you can't deny that it's so cool, lol.
You were charging and showed 80% charged when I unplugged you from power, put you in my bag and then headed out to go attend a meet-up with some friends.
Along the way I brought you out to make a call but noticed that you were off. I tried powering you on to no avail. I pressed and pressed the power on button, used biometric, and even tapped the screen. The only thing I got was your blank screen staring right at me.
I put you back in my bag and after a while tried again. Then the power button briefly activated the XOS launcher before shutting off again. It was at this point that I knew that "the usual handshake is now trying to get to the elbow". The bearing of the song has changed to the style I know not how to dance. 😅
I become worried and scared that you were dead for good. I couldn't understand why you would go off like that when the battery wasn't low. Could it actually be that you have packed up?
So many thoughts and what ifs kept racing through my mind, which even added to the fear.
I got to the meet-up venue, plugged it to a friend's power bank, same story - blank screen. In fact charging indicators didn't show on the screen. It was at this point that I gave up hope. I was finally "phoneless!"
Losing access to my phone meant missing out on shopping with HBD at the shoppers connect I attended, including capturing memories, the beautiful scenery of Tiger Bar, l artworks and paintings. That was so hurting!
Immediately after the meet up, I took you to the phone technician. He tried his own tactics to power you on, nothing. He checked the battery and said "the battery is weak, in fact, almost expired because the manufacturing date is over three years now. So it needs to be replaced and would cost ₦9,000". What?!
I wasn't prepared for such expenses so I told him that I would return the new week for that. He handed you back to me and straight you went inside my bag.
I headed to another event, got there and I had a nudging to plug you to charge again. Fortunately I was with the charger and without thinking twice, I reached for the socket but on plugging you, the charging indicators showed up. In fact you had come alive as you requested for the the pin to unlock. I punched in my pin and voila, you unlocked. Holy Mossy!
That was a miracle!
I was ecstatic and grateful that you came back alive. And I hope you won't pull such stunts again, lol. Whatever it was that made you shut down for over five hours should please stay away. Else, it will have me to contend with.
I know that as a technological device, you can experience system malfunction but please do give some heads up so I get prepared for the drama!
