Always do good to our fellow men,even to those who does bad against us or those who fight us. Romans 12:19-21 "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord. On the contrary: 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.' Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

There's a reward we are expecting from God, and these rewards are for those who are doing his word. God reward is our hope as Christians, and not those common rewards of man. Roman 2:7 "To those who buy persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he gives internal life" There is reward for the good or righteous.
Do good and work righteously before the Lord. Only God knows how righteous we are , he knows our hearts Jeremiah 17:16
In ecclesiastes 12:14 we are meant to know that god shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, weather it be good or whether it be evil. So this is the Fate of the righteous. Although there are people who will pay good for evil.l, psalms 109:5 said and they have rewarded me evil for gold and hated for love.
