As we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025, it's the perfect opportunity to reflect on our habits, routines, and behaviors. What did we do in the past year that we're willing to let go of, and what new habits do we want to cultivate?
One thing I want to do this new year is letting go of Old Habits, As we grow and evolve, our priorities and values may change. It's important to acknowledge the habits that no longer serve us and be willing to let them go. For me, it is Procrastination and poor time management
Procrastination is a waste of time and this affected my growth last year, I always push things away and feel like I will do them at my own convenient time, but I will end up not doing them, this brought some setbacks for me in this past year and that is why I stood my ground that I must eradicate this bad habit in this new year.
Also, I want to eradicate the issue of unhealthy eating habits, if I had to make a list of how many days I ate healthy food last year I'm sure it would not be up to what I expected, I always skip morning food which is breakfast, I didn't eat breakfast well in the past year which I do not want this habit to repeat itself this new year.
This one is the height of it, Wasting time on social media and other unproductive activities, I can spend more than five hours watching TikTok videos, and I always waste my data and time watching what is not productive for me, this causes a lot of setback for me last year as well, instead of me to make meaningful content on Hive, I would be on TikTok watching and smiling on what doesn't bring motivation to me, I need to limit my way of visiting social media and concentrate on what will be productive for me this year.
As I leave old habits behind, I can now make room for new ones that will help me grow and improve myself. One of the new habits I want to consider in this new year is establishing a consistent routine to boost productivity, this new year must be a perfect one for me, I need to learn how to stop my old habits and embrace new ones in other to allow growth in this year, my old habits hindered so many ways for me and I need to put an end to it.
As I embark on this new chapter, it's very important to set clear intentions and make a plan to achieve my goals. Some of my strategies for achieving my aim are to Create a schedule or routine to stay organized and focused, also surround myself with positive and supportive people who will not only laugh with me while moving on the wrong path but people who direct and correct me if I am not doing things well, stay away from shallow minded people and also have an inspiring environments to Practice self-care and prioritize my physical, mental, and emotional well-being
As we step into 2025, remember that change is a process, and it's okay to take it one step at a time. Be patient, kind, and compassionate with yourself as you work towards creating positive changes in your life.
