Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Always Wanting You: Merle Haggard

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: La sal no sala: Charly Garcia

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Always Wanting You of the american artist Marie Haggard. This song that I bring today, has to do with one of my childhood video games, which is also part of my adolescence and the rest of my life: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

The founders of Rockstar Games always dreamed of having their own music studio. However, fate led them down a different path, and instead, they created some of the most iconic action games, such as Grand Theft Auto, L.A. Noire and Red Dead Redemption. Even so, they knew how to take advantage of their passion for music to select songs for their soundtracks, standing out especially in GTA's radio stations, where music became a key element in the game.

In Grand Theft Auto San Andreas we can explore both densely populated urban areas and an extensive rural area. In this same region, when we get into a car automatically tunes us to a radio of that area, where you can listen to country songs.

I recently discovered the name of the radio when I made a post related to the game: K-Rose. This radio has a great variety of Country songs that bring me nostalgia every time I listen to this station. The truth is that I would never have discovered this beautiful music if it wasn't for this game.

Marle Haggard was a guitarist and country music singer from California, United States. In his youth, he decided to give up bad habits to devote himself completely to music, releasing hits such as Sing a Sad Song, Mama Tried and My friends are gonna be.

Always Wantin You belongs to the album released in 1975 called Keep Movin On. This song managed to stay for a few weeks as number 1 of country music in the Billboard chart.

Before announcing the winner of tonight's giveaway. I will share my game statistics on Rising Star, which I gathered using a tool that I created in Rising Star Utils. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
