Cici’s Family Update

I was checking up on a folder that I have about them and can’t believe they’ve grown pretty big and fierce. I felt like it was yesterday when these tiny munchkins were born. They were so tiny and fragile (we battled with fleas and some other strange diseases). Fortunately, four of the sixth survived.

They are all now 6 months old and everyone at home refers to them as “Cici’s family”. Whenever we hold any family events, they are not forgotten. We’d set aside food just for them because we consider them a part of the family. As a matter of fact, my niece is just a month old younger than these kittens and that’s how we all get to remember her age and the kitten’s age. If the kitten is 12 months old, my niece is 11 months old 🤣

One person in Cici’s family that surprised everyone is Micky. She was extremely fragile and we all thought she couldn’t make it. Today, she’s the fattest and greediest of them all. She has similar features like Cici and quite a contrast to her siblings that you can see below.

The other three are Sunny, Milly, and Mio. Mio is the whitest of them all and similar to Milly. Although their temperament is quite different and they are picky when it comes to food. But the commonality of them all is that they love hanging around whenever someone eats. This is like their extra snacks and they just expect you to give them whatever food you’re eating.

Their favorite is definitely egg, cheese and any type of meat. They go crazy over it and are always so happy whenever they get a piece of food from us. It’s such a strange behavior because we already give them food three times/day and they eat first before we do. I wonder if they ever get really satisfied since at one point, I was afraid they were getting obese.

I find their transformation to be funny. They looked like ugly ducklings before but now they’re pretty and as active as ever. Sometimes I feel like Micky has this thousand of lives that she’s not worrying about falling from the ramp of the stairs. She’s doing this for fun and though I told her no, she would still do that sometimes.

Currently, I am racking my brain to find a good spot for their home. I thought about making a house for them just under the stairs but my mom said it would be too small for the 5 of them. We could expand the 2nd floor but that isn’t the alternative on our budget at the moment. At the same time, if we want to make a house for them next to the kitchen, it’s a little dangerous since it is connected to our gas line and we tried not to make any big construction nearby it. They can’t be running around forever since it would be comfortable for us and them to have their own place where they sleep and play. So, it’s been halted for a moment since I am also working on the guest room. Let’s pray they can have their own home soon.
