Para mí es un gran placer realizar mi primera publicación en Hive, pero, sobre todo, un gran logro. El que estés leyendo este post significa que vencí mi temor de ser creador en Hive. Un temor fundamentado en el no fallar y en la procrastinación.
Antes de contarles cómo llegué a Hive permítanme mencionarles un poco sobre mí. Soy Yonis Esquivel, vivo en el norte de Colombia, en una zona rural, alejada del bullicio de la ciudad. A mis 36 años soy desarrollador de software y electricista, además de tutor en una plataforma online donde enseño a niños a desarrollar habilidades mediante la programación de videojuegos. La verdad es que realizo muchas cosas más, porque amo aprender y experimentar.
He vivido en las dos ciudades más importantes de mi país (Bogotá y Medellín) pero también quizás en varias poblaciones de las más pequeñas y alejadas donde no muchos quieren estar. Este contraste de vivencias es lo que ha creado en mí el gusto por la naturaleza y la pasión por la tecnología.
Mi personalidad es bastante introvertida, por eso mis redes suelen estar con muy pocas fotos de mí. A pesar de ello, por supuesto, que guardo recuerdo en imágenes de momentos felices en familia. Quiero compartirle algunas de esas fotografías en las que aparezco solo yo, por respeto a la privacidad de mi familia. En la mayoría de mis fotos está involucrada mi esposa, con quien comparto la mayoría de los momentos en estos últimos 8 años.

Mi arribo a Hive
Mi historia de cómo conocí Hive se remonta varios años atrás. Todo empezó en esas búsquedas de generar ingresos a través de internet. Entre muchos resultados encontré un video que explicaba que era posible ganar una criptomoneda creando contenido en la web 3. En ese momento realicé una búsqueda más profunda del tema y encontré una multitud de resultados que me agobiaron un poco.
Tras varios días viendo videos del tema, decidí crear mi primera cuenta de Hive con el usuario @yonisesquivel, pero la procrastinación, junto con la parálisis por análisis, que me causó tanta información, me hicieron desistir, al grado de que perdí las llaves de mi cuenta. Al día de hoy no tengo acceso a ella. Un año después creo mi segunda cuenta de Hive, @yoesga (esta vez sí guardé muy bien mis llaves), pero al igual que la primera vez, la procrastinación me jugó en contra y vuelvo a archivar todo.
A finales del año 2023 por recomendación de YouTube doy con el canal de Hive Desde Cero y decido unirme a su Telegram. Es allí donde me entero de las clases que imparten con el objetivo de ayudar a personas como yo, que no tenemos conocimiento del universo Hive, a incursionar en la creación de contenido en la Web 3.
Después de tantos años de mi primer contacto con el ecosistema de Hive, hoy por fin puedo decir que he creado mi primera publicación. Mi objetivo es conocer y dominar la Web 3, satisfacer esa curiosidad por esta nueva tecnología, además de publicar en una diversidad de temas en los que me encanta expresarme.
Finalmente, agradezco la iniciativa de la comunidad Hive Desde Cero por sus clases en vivo que me permitió dar este paso después de tanto tiempo, gracias a Natalia Loreto (@soy-laloreto) por ser una excelente profe y tenernos mucha paciencia. También muchísimas gracias a Elizabeth (@elizabeths14) y al resto de las personas que con sus clases han contribuido a este gran logro.

It is a great pleasure for me to make my first post on Hive, but above all, a great achievement. The fact that you are reading this post means that I have overcome my fear of being a creator on Hive. A fear based on not failing and on procrastination.
Before telling you how I came to Hive, let me tell you a little about myself. I am Yonis Esquivel, I live in the north of Colombia, in a rural area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. At 36, I am a software developer and electrician, as well as a tutor on an online platform where I teach children to develop skills through video game programming. The truth is that I do many more things because I love to learn and experiment.
I have lived in the two most important cities of my country (Bogotá and Medellín) but also perhaps in several of the smallest and most remote towns where not many want to be. This contrast of experiences is what has created in me a taste for nature and a passion for technology.
My personality is quite introverted, which is why my networks usually have very few photos of me. Despite this, of course, I keep images of happy family moments. I want to share with you some of those photographs in which I appear alone, out of respect for the privacy of my family. In most of my photos, my wife is involved, with whom I share most of the moments in these last 8 years.

My Arrival at Hive
My story of how I came to know Hive goes back several years. It all started in those searches to generate income through the internet. Among many results, I found a video explaining that it was possible to earn a cryptocurrency by creating content on Web 3. At that moment, I conducted a deeper search on the topic and found a multitude of results that overwhelmed me a bit.
After several days of watching videos on the subject, I decided to create my first Hive account with the username @yonisesquivel, but procrastination, along with analysis paralysis caused by so much information, made me give up, to the point that I lost the keys to my account. To this day, I do not have access to it. A year later, I created my second Hive account, @yoesga (this time I kept my keys very well), but just like the first time, procrastination played against me and I archived everything again.
At the end of 2023, following a recommendation from YouTube, I found the channel Hive Desde Cero and decided to join their Telegram. It was there that I learned about the classes they teach with the goal of helping people like me, who have no knowledge of the Hive universe, to venture into content creation on Web 3.
After so many years since my first contact with the Hive ecosystem, today I can finally say that I have created my first publication. My goal is to know and master Web 3, satisfy that curiosity for this new technology, as well as to publish on a variety of topics in which I love to express myself.
Finally, I thank the initiative of the Hive Desde Cero community for their live classes that allowed me to take this step after so long, thanks to Natalia Loreto (@soy-laloreto) for being an excellent teacher and having a lot of patience with us. Also, many thanks to Elizabeth (@elizabeths14) and the rest of the people whose classes have contributed to this great achievement.
