Are We Getting Too Artificial?

Humanity has come a long way especially with the presence of technology in our lives. Technology came to stay with us till the end of days and with each passing day, new things are being invented, technological hurdles are being overcome and things keep evolving.

A century ago, who would have thought about something called A Smartphone would exist? Who would have thought about a lot of things that exist now would have existed then?

I'm sure that back then, it wasn't even seen as a possibility ever coming to pass. But today, we have seen that it exists and that more will exist.

Speaking on the contest topic, I'd like to say that artificial intelligence was created for scientists to see what a machine brain was like. It was a scientific feat to overcome by the scientist that created it in the first place. Ever since its creation, artificial intelligence has proven itself useful to its master (the humans) and it has been made to serve us in every way.

We basically use artificial intelligence for almost everything that we do as humans. From the smartphone in our hands to the smart doors in buildings, we can find artificial intelligence anywhere even in our places of work.
Technology has been known to make life easier, hence the birth of artificial intelligence which has made it too useful to us as it is now an integral part of our lives.

I think it's safe to say that many of us can't do anything without the aid of technology through artificial intelligence, especially at work where a lot of work activities have been automated in order to ensure the smooth running of business organizations. As a result, artificial intelligence has replaced humans in many businesses mainly because of the type of workload associated with such type of work as there is only so much that humans can do.

Though artificial intelligence has helped us greatly and it continues to do so, I feel and I am of the opinion that not everything needs to be automated, especially those that we can easily get naturally without stress.

One thing that shouldn't become robots is pets. I have seen some videos where people show off their robot cat or dog and I really wonder what the point is exactly for having them. As a human being, animals are abundant and you can easily adopt a living, breathing dog or cat and not some robotic animal whose bark isn't even real.

Let us just stick to using technology to get work done at the workplace and leaving it there at the end of the day.

Having an automated animal as a pet just seems so odd and yet people do prefer such to the real deal. They say that it's everyone to their own tent which means that people differ in a lot of things especially taste and preference. At this rate, it may get to a point where robotic animals are the order of the day though people prefer dogs and this might put some people out of work.

There might be no need to walk your dog while at work because all you need to do is switch it off while you're away and then switch it back on when you return from work or wherever which means that you wouldn't need the services of professional dog walkers and other services that a normal dog would need.

Plus, the robots will not have the warmth of a living creature and at the end of the day, humans need warmth in order to help feel more alive. We can't get that from robots.
