Plot
The anime introduces us to Satō Matsuzaka, a high school girl who has been dating a countless amount of men who fall head over heels in love with her, earning her a great reputation as the "easy girl" of the school. She does this even though she feels nothing special for any of the guys she dates, feeling empty and unloved. But, one night she meets Shio, a little girl who has been abandoned on the street by her mother. Satō falls in love with her, believing she has achieved true love, so she is determined to do anything in her power to protect her and be with her for the rest of her life. The dilemma is that Satō is even willing to murder anyone to achieve her goal.

I saw this anime only once some time ago when I was looking for horror anime, something that is rarely seen in this huge place. When I saw the name, the cover and the synopsis I was surprised that it was within this peculiar genre, so I gave it a chance. To my surprise, it was not at all what I expected, being a much more complex and profound work than people say and think it is. It all sounds to me like a bizarre story of love, drama and crime with some violent overtones... until we start to learn about each other's stories, which is not at all normal. When we learn about Satou's childhood and everything she went through from a very young age, we start to realize why she is the way she is and think about who is really the villain or the bad guy in this story: her or society. The strong themes it deals with is not something that everyone would want to see or remember, but it is those themes and the way it tells us this painful story that makes this anime special.

Y es aquí donde todo se tergiversa en algo enfermizo, algo bastante bizarro, mostrando el verdadero rostro de Satou: una asesina y un peligro para la sociedad moderna. Sin embargo, ella intenta encubrir sus acciones y delitos con una sonrisa y una apariencia de estudiante de preparatoria, reuniendo dinero mientras trabaja a medio tiempo y planeando salir de viaje con Shio para escapar juntas y poder así vivir felices. Todo esto me suena a una historia bizarra de amor, drama y delincuencia con ciertos tonos violentos… hasta que empezamos a conocer las historias de cada una, la cual no es para nada normal. Cuando nos enteramos de la infancia y de todo lo que vivió Satou desde muy pequeña, empezamos a darnos cuenta de por qué ella es así como es y pensamos en quién es en realidad el villano o el malvado de esta historia: ella o la sociedad. Los temas fuertes que trata no es algo que todo el mundo quisiera ver o recordar, pero son esos temas y esa forma de contarnos esta historia tan dolorosa lo que hace especial este anime.

On the technical side, I won't say much about the animation which, for starters, is very decent. For being from a studio that surely very few know, the animation work, character design, drawings, styles, shadows, moving scenes and shots it has is not bad at all. It's not the best in the world either, but it's very well done and even more so now since it was aired, compared to other popular works of the same genre. The sound effects are very well added, giving certain moments those sensations that it tries to show in each scene. The soundtrack is one of those that generate you that suspense and drama to those disturbing or intense situations that this anime has, besides giving you a bit of emotion in surreal or seemingly tender moments, thus generating that feeling of uneasiness and tenderness at the same time while you keep in mind everything that is happening in the background. The play as a whole is very well done, with strong scenes and a level of psychological terror that leaves you thinking quite a bit about the true evil of human beings. However, one of the few things I dislike about the anime (apart from obvious things that everyone who decides to watch it will notice) is the ending, which I didn't like very much. But, that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a good rating and I recommend it to those people who like this kind of genre and are somewhat strong-minded.
Personally, I give it a rating of 8.5/10 as far as the psychological horror and drama genre is concerned.

Por el lado técnico, no diré mucho de la animación la cual, para empezar, es muy decente. Para ser de un estudio que seguramente muy pocos conocen, el trabajo de animación, diseño de personajes, dibujos, estilos, sombras, escenas en movimiento y planos que tiene no está para nada mal. Tampoco es que sea lo mejor del mundo, pero está muy bien hecho y más ahora desde que se emitió, en comparación con otras obras populares del mismo género. Los efectos de sonido están muy bien añadidos, dándole a ciertos momentos esas sensaciones que intenta mostrar en cada escena. La banda sonora es de esas que te generan ese suspenso y drama a esas situaciones perturbadoras o intensas que tiene este anime, además de darle un poco de emoción en momentos surrealistas o aparentemente tiernos, generando así ese sentimiento de inquietud y ternura a la vez mientras tienes en cuenta todo lo que está sucediendo de trasfondo. La obra en su totalidad está muy bien hecha, con escenas fuertes y un nivel de terror psicológico que te deja pensando bastante en la verdadera maldad del ser humano. Sin embargo, de lo poco que me disgusta del anime (aparte de cosas evidentes que notarán cada uno que decida verlo) es el final, lo cual no me gustó mucho. Pero, eso no quita que no se merezca una buena puntuación y que la recomiende a esas personas que les guste este tipo de género y que sean un tanto fuertes de pensamiento.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de terror psicológico y drama.
