Open mic at bruff
The last friday in the month , we host open mic night at Bruff , a great little cocktail bar at walton.
Atracting local artists and live music fans .
With fantastic views of the sea off of walton beach through the large windows . This is a great place to be on a friday night after a busy week at work. We drew a good sized audience who enjoyed the performances.
With a variety of talented performers the evening had a special feel to it and we felt prialidged to be a part of it. From hard hitting rap by Lizzyness to alernatve rock from the rascals, each act just seemed to get better and better.
As well as enoying the music we could all enjoy the amazing coctails that Stephanie serves at the Bruff. I drank non alchoholic mocktails as I had to drive the PA back to harwich.
The PA we used was on loan from the local council in Harwich for another open mic gig we are hosting on Saturday in cliff park dovercourt Harwich.
We came away impressed by the PA, alot easier to set up than our usual system and a good sound clear bright with plenty of bass. A line array system , I am considering selling my existing PA to help pay for somthing similar , good indoors at a venue but tomorrow we will see how it performs ot doors in the park.
The PA has 8 inputs and to mix the levels you can download an app and use a phone or pad to access controls for each channel. This is great and allows me to mix from any where in the venue.
Open Mic at Cliff Park
We took Liziness to Harwich with us so that she could perform in the park the next day. She enjoys staying with us and Harwich because she likes being around other musicians . We are often creating music with her when she visits.
The PA performed well in Cliff Park and was very efficient outside. It has a 120° degree spread so I placed a small busking amp behind it so that the sound was available all around the bandstand.
We hosted the open Mike from 1230 until 4 o’clock and the again we had talented musicians turning up , and enthusiastic audience to appreciate the music.
We enjoyed an afternoon of inspirational music from friendly local talented artists.
