Leticia, más conocida como Leti, era una adolescente caracterizada por ser la más tímida de la familia Pérez. Sus padres profesores, trataron de inculcarles tanto a ella como a su hermano mayor Carlos, valores con lo que ellos habían crecido.
Leticia era muy reservada, era de poco compartir con amigos del colegio y cuando sus padres le preguntaban sobre algún noviesito o si algún chico le atraía, ella sólo respondía con un: -!Mamá ,papá, tengo que estudiar!, y se marchaba con cachetes enrojecidos hacia su cuarto.
-Leti, mañana son tus 15 años, serás toda una mujercita, (le decía su madre dándole un beso en la frente).¿En verdad no quieres la fiesta?, fíjate que estamos a tiempo, es sólo precisar algunas cosas y llamas a tus compañeros de aula y lo festejamos.
-Que no Mamá ,no sigas con eso (Replicó Leti)
-!Dejala mami !,que ella es una anticuada.(Exclamaba Carlos viendo a su hermana cerrada ante las proposiciones de festejos que sus padres le ofrecían). Es más tengo una idea, ¿porqué? no te vienes conmigo y tu cuñada que hemos quedado en reunirnos con Hector y otras amistades hoy en la noche. Ahí te distraes y esperas tu cumple, señorita aburrida.(Le decía Carlos alàndole el pelo y dirigiéndole una sonrisa a su hermana).
-Dudo que acepte,(replicaba la mamá con acento de quién le conoce sus gustos a su hija).
Pero en eso -!Acepto, iré con ustedes!,¿en serio Héctor va ?,(exclamaba Leti con un brillo en los ojos poco inusual en ella).
-!A ti no hay quién, te entienda!(replicó la mamá dando la espalda).
-Pues sí, Hector y los otros chicos del barrio,¿porqué preguntas?. Le decía Carlos levantando su ceja izquierda .
-Curiosidad, a las ocho, estaré lista. (decía Leti dándole un beso a su hermano y dirigiéndose a su cuarto).
-Aún nada que sale la princesa! !Leti ,apùrate gicotea!,(exclamaba Carlos dirigiendo su vista hacia el cuarto).
En eso sale Leti portando un vestido ajustado, corto ,color rojo vino en combinación con sus labios y zapatos. Su escote resaltaba su delgada cadenita que le hacia relucir su piel delicada con su largo pelo negro.
-¿Que pasa con ustedes, porqué se quedan mirando asi ?(Decía Leti ).¿Estoy mal?
-No mi vida,! estas hermosa!, es que las sorpresas nos las estas dando tú hoy mi pequeña ,tú nunca habías querido ponerte ese atuendo.(Exclamaba la mamá)
-Dale cuidense y festejen con cordura que mañana es tu día. Diciendo esto le acaricia el pelo y muestra una sonrisa de aceptación.
-!Miren a la demorona!,(exclamaba Carlos dirigiendo la mirada a Leticia igual que todos los presentes). Entre ellos Hector, el mejor amigo de Carlos de infancia, quién era considerado como un miembro más de la familia.
En el parque, los rostros mostraban el júbilo y la emoción de los jóvenes, quién a cada chiste respondían con una carcajada. En eso, -!Señores, atiendan acá !, hoy, hay un Tulipán rojo que cumple 15 años, (decía Carlos); tres , dos ,uno !Felicidades!, (exclamaron a coro y muestras de afecto fueron dirigidas a Leti, en quien sus ojos volvieron resplandecer cuando Hector se le puso delante y le dijo: -toma una rosa roja para esta belleza natural, felicidades princesita.
-Gracias, no tenías que haberte molestado.(replico con una tierna sonrisa).
-Hector,mejor vamos a buscar par de cervezas que la fiesta ahora es que comienza.(Diciendo esto,le extendió Carlos el brazo por la espalda y caminaron hacia un establecimiento de venta).
Diez horas despues:
-!Al fin despiertas Leticia!, nos tenías preocupados.(Le decía su madre con tono fuerte pero a la vez angustiado)
-¿Mamá, que pasó?.¿Estamos en casa de tía?. (Decía Leti con semblante pálido, a la vez que levantaba sus manos hacia su frente tratando de hacer asimilar que es lo que estaba sucediendo)
-!Si, estás en casa de tu tía preferida ¿oh tengo que ponerme celosa porque me quitaron esa plaza en tu corazón ?(Decía Rosario la joven tía de Leti con la que tenía una gran afinidad).-!Sorpresa! y diciendo esto saca una cajita dorada .-!Felicidades mi sobrina, este es mi regalo por tus 15 años ,espero que te guste.
Leticia abrió con cuidado la cajita y sus ojos brillaron al ver que tenía una brazalete dorado, decorado con pequeñas piedras plateadas.
-!Gracias mi tía!,replicaba dándole un fuerte abrazo.
-Me alegro que te guste, y vez hace juego con tu cadenita. !Tú tía piensa en todo!. Pero ahora señorita tu madre y yo te vamos a celebrar un juicio.¿Cómo es que fuiste tan irresponsable, pasarte de copas y hacer que te trageran tu hermano y los muchachos cargada hasta aqui, porque no podías llegar a tu casa?.(Decía Rosario quién por primera vez había mostrado un regaño a su sobrina).
-¿De verdad no te acuerdas ?.Le decía su madre sentándose a su lado ya con tono suave viendo a su hija con ojos humedecidos ante el reclamo de su tía.
-Tranquila, ya pasó,( le dijo Rosario), hoy sólo alegrías.-!No, tía!, tengo que recordar,(Decía Leti quien se levanto y mirando fijo comenzó hacer memoria rebuscando en el pasado).Recuerda Leti, se decía y en eso imágenes de aquel momento la invadieron.
-Señores, aquí los anfitriones llegaron, tomen señoritas una cerveza para cada una (exclamaba Carlos a la vez que las repartía).
Todos los presentes aceptaron mientras que Leti se rehusaba, hasta que accedió por la insistencia y por no ser la amargada del grupo. Ahí pasaron horas entre risas y tragos. La luna relucìa con un brillo espectacular y más para Leti que con las cervezas consumidas la hallaba gigantesca tanto que sentía que podía tocarla. En eso se levanta, y su atención a parte de la Luna, fue captada por los ojos de Héctor. Quién a su vez se encontraba mirándola fijamente. En eso se levanta Leti y se dirge con pequeños pasos hacia donde él se encontraba y teniendolo en frente le dice:-Así como ilumina esa luna esta hermosa noche ,así has iluminado tu mi corazón y mis días desde que te conocí, (la voz de Leti se volvía temblorosa dirigiéndose a Hector)quién no apartàndole la vista le dice -No entiendo que quieres decir.-Que te amo Héctor ,te amo, y ese ha sido mi mayor secreto hasta hoy (exclamó Leticia con voz temblorosa).
Y diciendo eso sintió un pesar en todo su cuerpo y cayó desmayada. Inmediatamente Carlos y los muchachos corrieron a socorrerla.
-!Ay tía, lo recuerdo todo!¿Que hice ?.(Decía Leticia a la vez que de sus ojos comenzaron a brotar lágrimas).
-Tranquila, si todos nos hemos pasado de trago(Decía Rosario culpàndose por haber sido muy dura en reclamarle),voy abrir que los muchachos llegaron verás que todo estará bien.
-!No abras tía, por favor! (replicaba Leti)a lo que su madre y Rosario viendo su comportamiento quedaron abrumadas.
-!Abran!,que la fiesta ya va a comenzar. (Se escuchaba la voz ronca de Carlos detrás de la puerta )-!Bella durmiente despierta!(replicaba)
En eso, la tía se dirige a Leti y le dice- hoy es tu día,ya lo pasdo enterrado.Y mostrando una sonrisa y limpiándole la mejilla se dispuso abrir la puerta. Obsequios, panetelas, confituras, globos, todos portaban algo hacia Leticia, en quien cesaron las lágrimas y sus cachetes se enrojecieron al ver el afecto mostrado por todos, aunque inmediatamente se torno cabisbaja al ver entrar a Héctor con un ramo de flores y verlo dirigirse hacia ella.Ya en frente la tomó por la mejilla, le levantó su cabeza y mirándole a los ojos le dijo-Nunca dejes de brillar, tú secreto está a salvo conmigo.
