Hello friends. Goulash is one of my favorite dishes. Today I want to share with you the recipe I always try. I hope you like it. First let's prepare the ingredients we need to chop: beef, carrot, onion, tomato paste or homemade ketchup, rosemary and bay leaf, a little flour.

    Ingredients:
    Half a kilo of Beef
    1 Carrot
    1 Onion
    1 tablespoon Tomato paste
    1 Rosemary and bay leaf
    1 tablespoon flour
    Optional: spices and vegetable oil
    Optional: garlic

    Preparation:

First, chop the onions into medium-sized cubes, don't worry too much about the size, as they will almost completely dissolve and not be felt when cooked.

Then chop the meat, you can make this dish as a standalone meal or it can be served as a side dish but do not chop it too small. Add oil and fry the onions in a pan or pot.

When the onions become slightly transparent add the meat and fry, don't forget to season with salt.

Meanwhile, also chop the carrots, they shouldn't be too small or mashed, so pieces about 5 millimeters thick will be great.

After the meat is slightly fried add about a tablespoon of flour and leave it for a while without stirring.

Reduce the heat to the lowest level, cover and cook for about 75 minutes, stirring occasionally.

I've heard some families call this dish ragu. It is usually prepared in two stages, first fried, then cooked with the sauce. The main ingredient, tomato sauce, is also added. This goulash can be served with any side dish, mashed potatoes, pasta, rice or bulgur.

After about an hour of cooking, wait for about 15 minutes and then add the carrots. Real Hungarian goulash contains more meat and does not contain flour as in this recipe.

Cook for about 15 more minutes and check if your goulash is too thick, if so, add a little water.

Cook for another 5-10 minutes and get a very flavorful and meaty dish.

In addition to carrots, you can also add potatoes and get a complete meal or serve with your preferred side dish.
