The DLUX NFTs

in voilk •  3 months ago

DLUX ("Decentralized Limitless User eXperiences") is a network of nodes running using the DLUX fork of the #Honeycomb code by disregardfiat (repository here).

A general post about the DLUX platform was published about 2 weeks ago.

There are currently 3 sets of NFTs on the DLUX platform, which are the "DLUX Founders", "Beez", and "Hive Folks".

    The NFTs

For those who don't know, NFT stands for "Non-Fungible Token", which is a digital token which is different from any other token on the same type. That's in contrast with fungible tokens (where we can use "FT" as an acronym) where one token always has the same value has another token of the same type, so examples are HIVE and HBD (and #HiveEngine tokens so far).

    DLUX Founders
A DLUX Founders NFT has a design which has one of 4,096 color combinations using random numbers from the Hive blockchain (source here). Every who held at least 100 DLUX tokens at the snapshot on October 11, 2021 were awarded with a DLUX Founders NFT.

    Beez
A Beez NFT has a design which has 134,217,728 possible combinations ("8 possible Wings, 8 Possible Face Marks, 4 Eye Brows, 16 Eyes, 4 Mouths, 32 Bodies, 32 Heads, and 8 Eyewear possibilities" according to the post). There are 10,001 NFTs which were airdropped to active Hive users, starting with those who attended #HiveFest in 2021.

    Beez
Hive Folks NFTs have designs that are similar to certain popular Hive users, such as witnesses and whales. There are currently only 564 Hive Folks NFTs in circulation, where 518 are opened and 46 are still unopened (sealed).

    Payment methods

DLUX NFTs currently can be bought or sold using the following payment methods:

    • DLUX - the primary second-layer token of the DLUX network
    • HIVE - the primary token of the Hive blockchain
    • HBD - Hive-Backed Dollars which is the first layer stabletoken of the Hive blockchain

The DUAT chain (for the upcoming Ragnarok game on Hive) is currently not working properly, so DUAT cannot be used yet as payment method for DLUX NFTs.

    Possible operations

Any of the following can be done on DLUX NFTs by their respective owners:

    • Give. This sends the NFT directly to another Hive account free of charge.
    • Sell. This offers the NFT for sale on the DLUX market. A 1% fee is charged only when sold. The offer may be cancelled by the owner anytime.
    • Trade. This offers the NFT for sale only for a specified Hive account. A 1% fee is charged only when the offer is accepted and the proposed fee paid.
    • Auction. This offers the NFT for auction on the DLUX market for a duration specified by the owner from 1 day to 30 days. A 1% fee is charged only when the NFT is awarded to a winning bidder. The offer cannot be cancelled by the owner, but returns to the owner after the specified duration duration only if there is no bidder.
    • Melt. This effectively burns the NFT, making it unable to be gifted, sold, traded, or auctioned. The owner will receive the "melt value", which currently is either 0 DLUX (for Beez and Hive Folks NFTs) or 100 DLUX (for DLUX Founders NFTs).
    • Cancel (sale). When an NFT is offered on the market for sale, it can be withdrawn by the user at any time. This cannot be done on auctioned NFTs, whether there already are bids or not.

Any of the following can be done on DLUX NFTs offered for sale on the market by anyone except for their respective owners:

    • Buy. This sends the required tokens to the DLUX multisig account, where it takes 1% as fee and sends the 99% to the NFT's seller, then sends the NFT to the buyer.
    • Bid. This sends the tokens the DLUX multisig account, which holds the tokens until a higher bid is placed by another DLUX user. Only the token specified by the seller can be used to bid. Whoever has the highest bid at the end of the duration of the auction will get the NFT, and 99% of the bid will go to the seller.
