Sort of a cold a miserable morning. Light rain, cool temperture and an early start. Not great way to start the day but the dog needs his exercise. Also my wife was working late today so I wanted her to get some extra sleep.
After getting a few thousand steps and walking the dog it was time to do some stretches, prepare a bag lunch, and read my bible.
A day at work was about to start and best to go into it prepared.
Actually it was a longer than usual day. I also had to take a few hours off work to help out my son today.
Last night (after I made my Actifit post) I got a call while about to sleep. My son called me to say that his new (to him) vehicle had died and he was unable to get home. The night got late as we discussed what we are going to do with the broken vehicle.
It was very depressing to him to have spent $16,000 dollars on a vehicle only to have it die within 3 weeks! Also, he didn't know how to get the vehicle to the mechanic. Didn't know how to get a tow truck. Generally didn't know what to do .
I walked him through the routine. I gave him the BCAA number for tow truck. I gave him a ride to work in the morning. I also promised I'd leave work when the vehicle was going to the mechanic so I could give him through the repair process.
I'm so glad my boss didn't mind me leaving in the middle of work to help my son out. Of course, going back to work after leaving was really tough.
After work was over it was time to walk the dog (ugh) but at least I didn't feel bad just getting Pizza for the kids as I didn't have time to make dinner.
Between work, walking the dog, and pacing around the mechanic shop I got almost 14k steps.
Not too bad :)
Now its time to watch some anime and relax before working again tomorrow.
