In today's digital age, remote work and virtual jobs have become increasingly popular. It is crucial to find the best coworking space where you can work efficiently and interact with other professionals. My cousin had a great idea to open a coworking space business café in the heart of Northern Cebu, specifically in Bogo City. This is the city's first coworking space, making it a great initiative. Moodesk, a 24/7 coworking space offers high-speed internet and Wi-Fi connectivity, making it an ideal working environment for employees, virtual assistants, students, and learners who need to work on projects and school assignments.
Moodesk is owned by my cousin and her partner and will officially open on March 30,2024 but the priest availability was just on the 25th of March so we attended the store blessing. Supposedly the blessing and the opening will be done in the same day but due to the availability of the priest, the blessing was done in advance. And we were some of the few people invited to join them for the store's blessing. What a pleasure indeed.
In the Philippines, it is a tradition for Roman Catholics to bless newly established establishments. A priest is invited to offer prayers and spread holy water throughout the place. It is customary for those who join the blessing to leave candles and offer prayers. This tradition is unique to the Philippines and is not commonly practiced in other countries. It is a great way to start a business on a positive note.
To commemorate the occasion, we indulged in some of our most cherished Filipino dishes. Here are some of the delectable treats my cousin whipped up for the gathering.
It was a sumptuous lunch that we all shared after the store blessing, and I did not miss the chance to offer a simple gift to my cousin, a congratulatory cake that we had customized with the logo of her new business. I was so happy that she loved the design and the cake, and it was just a simple gesture, but it made her so happy.
Beautiful cake made by one of the famous cake-makers here in Bogo City. Will definitely give this cake a ten out of ten.
The woman on the right wearing a red dress is my cousin. The woman on the left is her life partner, and the man in the middle is the priest who did the store blessing. I'm just so happy for both of them since they have already made into life the plants that they used to have before, and these just used to be plans, and indeed, it has already come to life, and I'm so happy that she was able to achieve this business that they have planned for so long.

📖 PICK-UP YOUR ORDER. Customers are expected to pick up their coffee, refreshments, and pastries at the counter. Please note that staff will not serve these items at your table, so please retrieve them from the counter once they are ready.
📖 NO CORKAGE. When studying or working at the Moodesk Coworking Cafe, feel free to bring food or drinks from your favorite fast food chain or refreshment store. While there are no corkage fees, it's worth considering purchasing from the cafe as they also serve a variety of snacks and drinks. At Moodesk, you can indulge in a range of food and drink choices while studying or working.
📖 TAKE CARE OF YOUR BELONGINGS. As responsible customers, it is important to take care of your belongings, but it never hurts to exercise extra caution. Moodesk provides 24/7 service and has CCTV cameras throughout the premises to enhance customer security. These measures ensure that all customer activities are recorded.
📖 PET FRIENDLY SPACE. Bring your furry friend with you to work at Moodesk. Just be sure to keep up with maintenance and consider having your dog wear a diaper to prevent any messes from affecting other customers. Having a pet with you can increase productivity, reduce stress, and provide a more enjoyable work experience.
📖 NO TAKE OUTS. All foods and drinks available at Moodesk are just for dine inz By taking eco-friendly actions, we can contribute towards saving the environment. If you wish to order takeout, kindly bring your own container as they do not provide any. This is because they prioritize being eco-friendly and value the environment.
📖 NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED. Moodesk provides a peaceful and productive environment for students and employees who work remotely. They understand the importance of high-speed internet, and they are happy to offer it to our clients. However, they kindly request that alcohol not be consumed on the premises in order to maintain a quiet and respectful atmosphere for everyone to study and work.
📖 CALLS ARE IMPORTANT. If you require any assistance or support while at the cafe, our friendly cafe owners and hard-working employees are available 24/7 and happy to help.
📖NO KIDS ALLOWED. To maintain a peaceful environment in our co-working space, Moodesk kindly requests that children under the age of nine not be brought into the vicinity. They understand that young children may unintentionally cause noise disruptions and wander around, which may disturb other customers who are trying to focus on their work or studies.
📖SPEAK QUIETLY. As this is a coworking space, it's important to keep in mind that there may be other individuals around, such as students or professionals, who require a quiet environment to focus on their work or meetings. To show consideration for others, it's best to speak softly and keep your voice at a low volume to avoid disrupting their concentration.
📖CLEAN AS YOU GO. For me, this is not a rule, but it just comes out naturally. If you are a responsible citizen, you don't have to be reminded of the cleanest as you go rule because if you are responsible dining and a responsible one, you must clean as you go. Not only in going to this cafe, but we must always make it a life motto that no matter where we go, that we always keep our surroundings clean, and picking up on our trash is not that hard to do, right?
📖SLEEP WELL. At Moodesk, individuals are welcome to take a power nap or sleep as desired. However, it is kindly requested that everyone respects the silence, particularly when others are sleeping. Our clientele includes students and retired employees who work from home and require rest. Thus, it is important to show consideration for everyone's need for uninterrupted sleep.
📖PREMISES ARE CCTV PROTECTED. CCTV cameras provide full coverage and can record any unexpected events. The recordings are clear and available 24/7 to ensure the safety and security of the area.
