Sometimes, children can be very cruel... I suppose that it has to come from the family, lack of attention and guidance, but also the usage of social media and spending a lot of time alone... Yes, I was also bullied in my childhood, but luckily not too long to reach depression levels...
Today, I see more and more kids with a lack of empathy... What you wrote about "putting yourself in someone else's shoes"... That's something that nowadays children are unable to do, which leads to a lack of empathy and cruelty... Social media profiles are viewed as digital IDs, without emotions, but it's not like that at all...
Don't know what is the solution, but it is obvious that we have to act ASAP and work on fixing the issue...

When we were on our road trip to Portugal, we went through Andalucia but didn't have time to visit Cordoba, which is a pity... But those saints portrait OUTSIDE the church is something that I saw only in Andalucia, and I remember well the streets of Cadiz where we found them too...
