Hassop Station Café: Lots of Choices

Calling in at Hassop Station Café, the clue is in its name as it used to be a railway station and then converted into a café.

After choosing a table, you then queue up to give your order. They have quite an extensive menu. It's a good job I can make my mind up fairly quickly, else I'd be there all day! Service is usually pretty quick, although it does depend on what time of day you visit as it can get quite busy. The café is next to the Monsall Trail, a disused railway line that is open for everyone to enjoy, from hikers, dog walkers, and cyclists.

It's quite a large café with an indoor and outdoor area, including a terrace part where once upon a time people got on and off the trains when the railway line was still in service. It was still a bit chilly outside, so we chose to sit indoors. It wasn't long before the beef pie, chips, mushy peas with gravy and my egg and veggie sausage cob (or bap depending on which part of the UK you are from) arrived at our table.

... followed by a cappuccino and biscuit. This biscuit is the most boring biscuit on the planet, but I will eat anything sweet.

.... and a latte with lemon drizzle buns. After a good walk you have to treat yourself, don't you?!
