Am not someone who easily makes friends. If I make you my friend then is a tie.
I was betrayed by a frienonce. I became extra careful about friends and I decided to keep my circle very small.
One thing is to make good friends and another is to be a good friend yoursecomparesdship can make or mar you, but it depends on who you meet along the way.
Let comparinga little story about how I met one true friend, who has become a sister and one who would have been a sister but her envious nature and lifestyle caused us to be enemies.
Let me start with the bossy and envious one.
When I got admission into the high institution, I was a little timid and reserved. I was what you call a church girl, my routine was always house, church, and market.
So on my first day in class, I met her lovelyn that's her name, she was so friendly and jovial. She was all over me, from complimenting my skin to my height and asking me where I lived, to where I was from. I don't like it when someone is all over me but she just has a unique way of making you love her, so I just liked her but I was still skeptical about her cause something about her, didn't sit well with me.

So after the lecture that day, it turned out that Lovelyn was living on the same street as me. I lived off campus.
So, it is common that we easily bond and become friends. She often came to my house to stay and sometimes, I went to her's. Gradually, I started noticing that she is very bossy and domineering. I didn't call it anything cause I was this quiet and I tend to overlook too. Many of our course mates wondered how I was able to be friends with her, without
having any issue. I learned to tolerate people while growing up as a child. I didn't grow up with my parents anyway that is a story for another day.
So Lovelyn was beginning to do too much, she had formed a click of friends. Which included me, Jane, Lizzy, and Victoria. Both lecturers and our course mates call her our queen mother. She was the shortest among us and I was the tallest in the click. The problem started when she wanted to start controlling our lives, how we would dress, who we would befriend, and where we would go. I was calm and reserved but you can't control me, never. I had a guy back them, who someone matched makes us then.
He visited me almost every weekend as he was a military guy and was posted to the state where I was schooling. One day, I dressed to go for a lecture, lovelyn said No we all should wear what she suggested. I bluntly refused, telling her I didn't feel comfortable in revealing clothes, she became upset that I wouldn't join them to lecture if I wasn't dressing like them, so they left and I came alone. From that day we started going to lecture differently but once in a while, we came back together.

One day, my guy visited me in school and Lovelyn was in my house. I innocently introduce them. I regret doing that, I let them chat together as I was busy, so I wasn't aware that they had exchanged phone numbers.
I do share everything, he brings for me with her as my friend, little did I know that my friend was envious of me. Suddenly my guy started acting strange, I don't know how he knows who visited me and who didn't, where I go. I was beginning to wonder how he knew everything I did in school. I didn't know it was my friend. He became very aggressive and always comply her to me. At first, I didn't take it seriously until Lovelyn fell out with one of the girls Jane because of a boy in school, so Jane maybe wanted to spite Lovelyn. She met me and told me everything that Lovelyn had been doing behind my back with my then-boyfriend. My chest started paining me instantly
I couldn't believe it at first, I told her it was a lie. So she asked me to call my guy and ask him why he doesn't visit me on weekends anymore. Of which I did but he gave me one flimsy excuse. One day Jane told me to follow her somewhere, I did so. When we got to the place, she asked me to knock which I did. What I saw left me heartbroken and disappointed. I just stood and stared at them. Shout for where leave the place who side. Hot tears stream down my cheek. I gently turned to leave and he made to hold me and plead, I didn't know that I had such an anger issue till that day. I flared up, reaching for the flower vase there, I hit it on his hand, his reflex was fast so he dodged it. It would have been his head.

I asked Lovelyn what have i ever done wronged to her to betray me like this, without remorse , she told me that I was always acting as if it was only me who had home training and is God fearing, she told me that she had always envied how everybody in the street always complies me to her. Asking her to be like me including her then-boyfriend. What made her so mad was when her crush told her to talk to me about him. Out of jealousy and pride, she decided that she will take whatever I had that she desired, which included my boyfriend. May I tell you all that I left the guy for her but they didn't even last up to 2 months. She didn't know the shege I was passing through in the guy's hand.
After Lovelyn's betrayal, I found it hard to keep female friends, the pain and the scar that experience left me, made me to become very cautious about every female around me be it neighbors or church members I don't care anymore.
As for my friend who turned sister, I met her in a cyber cafe, where I went to learn computers, she was learning already. I can't even say how we became friends but we both share everything in common. When we bonded, we went to learn catering together after that we both ventured into makeup. We made our parents to know each other. If I haven't met her before lovelyn. I probably won't have made her friend. So since after lovelyn. She and one other lady have been the only friends I have to date.
