Meditation in the Biblical manner is the law of the Lord, not the law of men.
The true meditation taught by the Bible, which is the authentic Word of God, is in the book of Psalms chapter 1 verse 2, it reads:

2.But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law that he meditate day and night.
3.And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bring forth his fruit in his season. His leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he do with shall prosper.

This is the only meditation which works in our relationship with God. The Bible tells us his delight is in the law of the Lord, not in the inventions of men, not on how to stay awake for 30 hours or how to sit down straight like some are doing.
This is not the proper meditation. Meditation in the Biblical manner is his delight is in the law of the Lord, not the law of men.

There is danger in obeying the law of men, we see this in the book of Titus chapter 1 verse 14, it reads:

Not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men that turn from the truth.

Commandments of men or law of men in religion turn from the truth; the truth that the gospel teaches. That's why the Word of God tells us in Psalms 1:2, that his delight is in the law of the Lord, not in the law of men, this was David speaking. His law entails that we meditate day and night, and meditation should be in the law of the Lord.

We should meditate on how to do good to others, how not to do injustice to others, how to avoid doing something which is unlawful in the sight of God and may destroy or may harm other people. This is the right way of meditating.
