TOPIC: WAIT ON THE LORD
WAIT on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD (Psalm 27:14).
FOOD FOR THOUGHT ON THIS VERSE
We should reflect on this verse: "Wait on the Lord, be courageous, and He will give you strength. Wait for the Lord" (Psalm 27:14) seriously.
Make a proper consideration of the verse: Waiting can often be an unpleasant experience; however, God wants us to learn how to wait well.
Remaining steadfast during difficult times and staying faithful when things go wrong have a lot of value. Therefore, God tests us with waiting periods to determine if we are genuinely seeking Him or merely pursuing something convenient or novel.
Waiting Builds Patience:
The verse reminds us that waiting on the Lord is an opportunity to build patience. It's easy to become impatient and frustrated when things don't happen as quickly as we would like them to. However, waiting teaches us to be patient and trust in God's timing.
Waiting Helps Us Grow Closer To God:
When we wait on the Lord, we have more time for prayer and meditation which can help us grow closer to Him while deepening our faith.
Waiting Teaches Us Humility:
Sometimes humility comes through waiting because it humbles us by reminding us of our limitations and need for divine guidance rather than thinking that everything is under control.
Waiting Strengthens Our Trust In God:
When we wait on the Lord, it strengthens our trust in Him when He provides what we were hoping for even after a long period of anticipation.

Further more, waiting gives perspective regarding what truly matters in life by helping prioritize values rather than getting caught up in busyness.

Waiting Develops Perseverance: Enduring through periods of delay requires perseverance which helps strengthen individual resilience.

Sometimes reasons behind delays only become clear after they pass revealing how divinity was working behind scenes bringing about His plan.

Challenges coming with delays shape individuals into better people developing greater empathy towards others who also await results from their efforts.
Waiting Encourages Gratitude:
Through awaiting one learns gratitude for already attained goals rather than always looking ahead at future endeavors fostering contentment &joy into lives.
Waiting Builds Trust In Ourselves:
As individuals learn self-trust combined with endurance skills while learning how-to overcome challenges leading towards personal growth &development.
Waiting Helps Letting Go Of Control :
One learns letting go-of-control valuable lesson regarding humility &surrendering oneself completely trusting divine plans.
Waiting Teaches Flexibility :
One learns flexibility, adapting to expectations, or plans according to situations that forms the important skill, navigating ups and downs which life presents.
Waiting Encourages Community Building :
During prolonged waits support and encouragement sought from family or friends, even community builds stronger relationships among them.
Waiting Leads To New Opportunities :
Despite long-waits sometimes leads to new paths or opportunities emerge providing alternate options not considered earlier.
Waiting Helps Learn From Mistakes :
Reflection upon past mistakes or missteps taken during wait-periods provide valuable learning experiences correcting behavior or actions improving decision-making capacities.
MY PRAYER TODAY
Oh Heavenly Father, I express my gratitude for your enduring patience with me as I endeavor to exhibit my faithfulness, abstain from sin, achieve greater sanctity, pray regularly unto you, act responsibly and extend aid to those who are unable to reciprocate.
As I await your guidance and comforting presence during moments of solitude, please assist me in fulfilling this aspiration of drawing near to you and rendering worship.
I implore that you persist in leading me along the path towards personal growth.
Grant me the fortitude necessary to remain resolute in my beliefs while resisting temptations presented by worldly affairs.
Endow upon me the strength required to persevere through trying times and always seek solace within your support.
May I never forget the blessings bestowed upon me by your love and benevolence.
Thank you for accompanying me throughout every step on this journey dear Father.
Furthermore, may you continue bestowing blessings onto those surrounding me while guiding them towards their respective paths of enlightenment.
Allow for myself to serve as a vessel conveying your compassion and grace; illuminating hope among those who feel lost or disheartened.
Provide opportunities allowing myself an avenue for service even if it proves arduous or inconvenient.
May my actions speak louder than words whilst remembering that glorifying You is paramount toward achieving true purpose within life's endeavors - let my actions reflect Your goodness and faithfulness accordingly when falling short (as inevitably will occur) remind myself of Your forgiveness coupled with unending mercy.
