It's a beautiful Monday and the last in this month, I hope we all have one or two things to look back to from the beginning of the year as our achievement, if not, you just have to think of a possible way to achieve those dreams of your and get to work.

It's @needleworkmonday, today is a day we all look forward to, to showcase our creativity and it's interesting that every Monday, we all try to bring something new to the community and also appreciate and learn from other needleworkers as well.

Today, I will be sharing with you the making of this men's senator outfit I made for my friend with Ankara fabric and matching colour plain fabric for the pocket and placket.

Last year, I set a goal for myself in my fashion career, I wanted to take it to another level, then I decided to go into the cutting and sewing of men's outfit, having that in mind, I took a step to enroll myself in a near by shop where they sew men outfit, my aim was just to know the basics then from there, I can build on what I learned, I believe in this digital world, whatever you need is there online but you just need someone to put you through so you can know what to do at every point, the journey lasted for 2 to 3 months as I couldn't combine it with my own work, sometimes I will have lots of work to be done for my clients and still have to work for my boss at the shop where I enrolled for the training, lucky enough, I had a talk with my boss and we agreed that I will be making the outfit myself and come to him anytime I'm lost or don't know the next step to take.

Since then, I started making men's outfit myself, this was possible after watching several videos online on how to cut and sew men's outfit and today, I can make at least a simple senator outfit for men.

This was possible because I have a friend who believes in me and could volunteer his fabric for me to use for practice and lucky enough all the outfit I have been making were all perfect on him. It's a win win as he volunteer his fabric and I sew for free, on the other hand, I'm also getting perfect each time.

This fabric was bought for the wedding of my cousin and as the family members and we'll wishers, we bought this fabric to grace the event and his gave me his to do what I know how to do with it.

I started by making the trouser after cutting it out using his measurement.

The trousers we're set aside as I proceeded to the cutting and sewing of the top by using the top measurement I took, it was marked out on the fabric as I cut it out and sew, for the pocket, I used a plain matching color fabric to make it stylish and also on the placket and this came out really nice as well.

The sleeves were sewn to the armhole circumference and I have a complete outfit.

I'm so proud that I could make something as nice as this and seeing someone put on what I made, it gives me great joy and I know that with time, I will be able to make the perfect and technical ones just like a pro.

I hope you like the outcome on my friend just as he did, he was so happy and promised to make me his tailor at least for simple outfit as this 😂😂😂😂
