    Hello everyone

It's a beautiful day out here and I hope you all are doing great. Bringing to you this creative design of a purse I recently made from the pieces of left over fabric from my sewing room, it's my pleasure to share the cutting and sewing process with you all today and I'm sure you will like the beautiful outcome of it.

In one of my post, I shared the transformation I made on my sister's husband outfit which was wrongly made for him and it was left there without being useful until my sister brought it to me so that I can help her change it to her size for her to wear which I did, in the transformation, I had to cut out the sleeves to make it a short from the initial long sleeve and it was so nice on her.

After it has been delivered to my sister, the pieces I cut out from the sleeves were set aside, I didn't want to add it to the numerous pieces I already have so I immediately thought of what to creat from the pieces then this idea come to my mind that it will be nice if I could make a matching purse to the outfit for her phone and cash, which I did.

Join me as I take you through the cutting and sewing process.

I trimmed off the rough edges of one of the sleeves and it measured 8 x 18" then I went ahead to cut out a lining as well.

The main fabric was placed on interfacing to cut out same shape which was later ironed on it.

The main fabric was placed on the sewing machine with a zipper on the right side while the lining was placed on the lining and it was sewn together.

The zipper was sewn on the other side as well and top stitched on both sides, it was turned fabric to fabric and lining to lining.

The excess zipper was trimmed off and I sew on both sides leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out.

On the edges, I marked out a square of 1" on the main fabric and lining and it was cut out.

I sew on the four edges to give it a balance base.

It was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and the opening was sewn together.

Finally, it was turned to the right side and I have this nice purse made from pieces of left over fabric.

I'm so glad I could make something so useful from this piece of fabric that I would have trashed away.

My sister will be so glad to have this when delivered to her, I know she love to have a matching purse to her outfit and this will be well appreciated.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement. Until my next post. Do have a great day.
