Radhe Radhe Everyone!
In my last blog I have shared some pictures and told you all about beautiful valley of Kullu and about the Bijli Mahadev temple. Today we are trekking towards the temple and I'll show you some of the magnificent views that I have witnessed on my journey.
This was our starting point and it was covered with evergreen trees all around makes it adventurous and fun. Bir Billing is also in the same region and it is famous for paragliding. People from all over the world visit this place do experience the paragliding in the Himalayas. The tracks start from Bir and it ends on Billing. This track takes upto 4 hour and depending upon your strength you can also complete it in two hours. It's not that difficult if you are an experienced trekker. But does involve climbing uphills and you have to go through the narrow trails.
If you have ever dragged in Himalayas then you know walking here feels so magical it helps you to release all the stress and also with every curve the new view and folds in front of you and also the path change it's direction. I'm so have to walk up sometimes downhill and sometimes you have to go diagnosed and sometimes in a straight path.
On our way, we found this cute little home nested between the Himalayas and away from all the distractions. I wonder who live here, at that time no one was there and my question remain unanswered. Imagine living here, the experience would be great! right?
The distance from Bir, which is a small village or the starting point to the temple is approx 6 to 7 km now comes the hardest part of the track where we have to climb upwards. Only thing that kept me going was the birth taking view this track offer the most beautiful view ever. You will see that all the ranges the lush green and dense forest and valleys all around you. Honestly, I got tired walking here uphill so to get my energy back I eat an apple which reproduce organically in our own farm.
It was a bright day and the view you get on a bride day is immensely beautiful. This is the view of Dhauladhar ranges that this track offers. Changes from a stunning back drop to the bill and these ranges are part of lesser Himalayas. The ranges are mountains are world famous for the rugged terrain, snow capped peaks and the dramatic elevation. To experience the view and to enjoy the track, people from all over the world come here.
Indeed the journey is more beautiful than the destination but we didn't stopped here we kept moving forward to add a destination and this is what we found in between. These are small shops along the valley and they offer all the things that are required to do Pooja at the temple. We stop here for a minute, brought all the necessary stuff and headed straight towards our destination. It was our first time on this sowe were not sure how much more kilometres we have to keep moving. After seeing the shops we got motivated and we realised that we are almost there.
This track is world famous for the breathing view it offers and there were lots of visitors on that day. We met these two boys Rahul and Yajat and they told us that they are friends. We were taking photos so they got excited and they wanted me to click a picture of them. And this is what I clicked.
Finally we reached at an elevation of 2460 m above the sea level where the iconic temple of Lord Shiva is situated. I got mesmerized to see this panoramic view of Kullu Valley from top. Parvati Valley is also visible from from this point. Here are some of the pictures that I have taken with my iPhone.
The track was definitely difficult for me but for this view I can walk thousands such as tracks. Well, I have to say this scenic journey was quite rewarding and I loved where I reached. I will share more about this tample and the beauty of the strangers in the upcoming blog so, stay tuned.
